The diagram below shows how fabric is manufactured from bamboo.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 6.0)

The given diagram depicts how bamboo plants are used to manufacture variety of fabric.

There are in general 8 different steps intiating by harvesting the bamboo plants and to make fabric, the final 9th step produces many kinds of brand new clothes, bedsheets, and other related stuff.

Firstly, in the spring season bamboo plants grow which are then harvested in autumn by the farmers. Secondly, all the sticks are then cut into stripes by cutter machine that are later crushed to form a liquid pulp. Furthermore, long fibres are filtered from the liquid and mixed in water along with amine oxide to soften the fibres. Moreover, the resulted fibre is then used to make yarn by spinning it which is later weaved to make fabric. Finally, after all the long process of making fabric, it is now ready to make variety of clothes like socks, shirts, pants and much more.
