The diagram below shows how fabric is manufactured from bamboo.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Write at least 150 words.

Student answer (Band 5.5)

The chart illustrates the making of fabric from bamboo.

Overall, the graph displays the process in various stages. Initially, the plant has been cultivated and went through different industrial processes and transformed into clothes.

First of all, for making fabric, bamboo plants have been grown in spring. Later, when the plants are fully ripped for cultivation , then the plants are harvested in Autumn. In the next step, the bunch of the plants are cut in to small strips under a cutting machine. These crushed strips are transformed to make liquid pulp. This step is followed by Filtration of the pulp in which long fibers are separated from solution. The remaining mixture contain soften fibers with the addition of water and amine oxide are revolved in a spinner to produce yam. Eventually, the yam interlace with each other to convert into fabric. At this stage, the fabric has been ready to manufacture different types of clothes like shirt and socks.
