The diagram below shows how fabric is manufactured from bamboo.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 5.5)

The chart illustrates the process of making fabric from bamboo.

Overall, the process complete in total nine steps, which start from growing bamboo plants and end at final step after conversion into final products like sweaters and soaks.

Looking into the details, the whole process of manufacturing the fabric from bamboo starts usually in spring season, where major amount of bamboo plants produse. In autumn the leaves fell off and the trunks remain. Next the trunk is cut down into multiple small parts and then these strips can be crushed into liquid pulp.

After liquification the mixture is filtere to separate liquid from long thread fibres, meanwhile water and amine oxide are added into the fibres to soften them. Furthermore, the soft fibres spin to make yarn and then the yarn is weave to make fabric. When fabric is ready its available to use for making variety of products like soaks and shirts.
