IELTS Writing Task 1 question
The diagram below shows how fabric is manufactured from bamboo.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
Write at least 150 words.
Student answer (Band 5.5)
The diagram illustrate the step by step procedure of fabric making from bamboo.
In the first stage, bamboo is planted in spring which is active growing season for bamboo because during this season climate is cooler and moist that yeilds good quality bamboo till autumn. After harvesting the field in autumn ,bamboo cuts into small strips and then these strips are cruhsed by a machine to make liquid pulp.Next step is filteration where long fibers are separats from liquid by using a funnel.Now the main product fiber is dipped in to the water along with some amine oxide that works as softner and soften the fibers which yeilds into yarn then spin the yarn and weave to make fabric .Now from yarn we can make any type of clothing item.
overall, the procedure is time consuming but with good quality of bamboo high quality of fabric can be manufactured with very less effort.
