IELTS Writing Task 1 question
The diagram below shows how fabric is manufactured from bamboo.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 5.5)
The illustration displays the process of making fabric from bamboo.
Overall, the making involves nine steps starting with planting the bamboo and ending with the final product . This is achieved by making the bamboo into liquid pulp and spinning it to produce yarn.
The process starts with planting the bamboo in the spring, followed by harvesting them in the autumn. Later , they are sliced into strips by using a machine and crushed into small pieces to make a liquid pulp . The leaves are also seperated in this process . It is then sent to be filtered by using a filtration unit to segregate the lengthy fibres from the liquid . The product obtained is softened by adding water and amine oxide.
The produce is spun to make a yarn and then given to weave into a fabric. This fabric is now used to make varies materials like shorts , socks etc.
