IELTS Writing Task 1 question
The diagram below shows how fabric is manufactured from bamboo.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 5.5)
The diagram illustrates how manufacturing of a fabric is done from bamboo.
Overall, the most noticeable feature is that how soften fibres are spin to make yarn.
First , it showed that bamboo plants were planted in Spring season. Secondly, they were harvested in Autumn season by the farmers. Then, the bamboo were cut into strips using the machines. Afterwards, the bamboo strips were crushed to make liquid pulp. Furthermore, filter was added to separate long fibres from liquid after crushing the strips.
The subsequent stage was soften the fibres by adding water and amine oxide into it. Next, spinning the fibres to make them into the yarn. Last stage is to weave the yarn to make them into fabric. Then, fabrics are turned into clothes like tshirts, socks etc. The clothes are then delivered from factories and sold into the markets to the whole sale shops and retailers shops.
