IELTS Writing Task 1 question

The diagram below shows how fabric is manufactured from bamboo.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Write at least 150 words.

Student answer (Band 5.0)

The figure demonstrates the complete process of how fabrics are made from yarn.

Overall, the process is consist of total 9 steps which includes the stages from planting the bamboo plants to weaving stage.

To begin with the first step which is planting the bamboo plants so the fabrics can be made and the next step is harvesting of the bamboo plants once they are fully grown in Autum season. Once the plants are harvested then they are cut down into the strips so they can be crushed down easily to make a specific type of liquid call pulp.Once the liquid is formed then it goes into the filteration process where fibers are saperated from the liquid.

After the filteration process the filtered fibers are then softend with the help of water then theose softend fibers then go through a spining process where the yarn is made which then goes into the weaven phase where the actual fabric thread is formed which is then used for making clothes like socks,shirts or trousers.
