IELTS Writing Task 1 question
The diagram below shows how fabric is manufactured from bamboo.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 5.5)
The diagram illustrates how fabric is produced from bamboo.
Overall, there are nine steps in the process of making fabric, beginning with planting bamboo in spring and ending with the production of clothes.
Firstly, in spring, bamboo is planted in the ground. Next, in autumn the mature bamboo plants are harvested and cut into small strips. After that, these strips are crushed in a machine to nmake liquid plup. Then the pulp is filtered then to separate long fibers from the liquid. Subsequently, in the seventh stage, the fibers are softened by adding water and amine oxide in a container.
Following this, in the seventh stage, the fibers are spun to make yarn. After that, weaving are make fabric in the eight stage. Finallly, in the last stage, finished fabric is used to make different types of clothes.
