The diagram below shows how fabric is manufactured from bamboo.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 6.0)

The diagram illustrates how fabric is manufactured from bamboo.

Overall, there are nine stages of the process. Begining with bamboo plants and ending with final product.

The first step for making fabric starts from bamboo plants growing in Spring season. Bamboo is then harvested in Autumn, Once this is done, it is cutted into strips. After this the 4th step is to crush the strips to make liquid pulp out of it. This four stages consist of simple steps.

Furthermore, The filteration of long fibers from liquid is carried out in the fifth stage of process. Afterwards fibers get soften with adding water and amine oxide. The by product of this process gives spin that helps to make yam. In the 8th step the weaving takes place to make fabric out of it, with the fabric the finish products are manufactured like tshirts and socks. This process consist simple nine steps making the final product.
