Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

The student successfully addresses all parts of the task by outlining the main stages of the bamboo manufacturing process, from planting to the final clothing products. The overview is attempted, although it is slightly convoluted in its phrasing ("from the month of March and ends in May to weave to make fabric"). The key steps are presented in chronological order, including harvesting, cutting into strips, crushing, filtering, softening with water and amine oxide, spinning into yarn, and weaving. While the details generally follow the diagram accurately, the overview and summary lack a refined synthesis of the overall transformation. Nevertheless, all core information is present, satisfying the requirements for a Band 6.0.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response is organized into logical paragraphs representing the progression of the process. Cohesive devices are employed to guide the reader through the stages, such as "Intially", "Beyond this", "Moreover", and "Finally". However, some referencing is slightly clunky or inaccurate, such as starting a sentence with "Additionally, it is spinned" where the antecedent is ambiguous. Paragraphing is utilized, but the division between sentences sometimes leads to a choppy reading experience rather than a smooth, continuous flow. Overall, the logical organization is coherent, aligning well with the Band 6 descriptor.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

The student demonstrates an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, successfully incorporating process-specific terms like "pulp", "filtration", "Amine oxide", and "interlaced". However, there are notable spelling errors ("Intially", "spinned") and awkward lexical choices or word forms ("breakdown into shape of strips withe help of cutter", "yam in the form of circular ball"). While less common vocabulary is attempted, these inaccuracies prevent the response from achieving a higher band. The lexical resource is sufficient to convey the meaning, fitting a Band 6.0.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, such as relative clauses ("which starts from the month of March...") and participial phrases. However, grammatical control is inconsistent, with several errors in punctuation, article usage, and word forms (e.g., "producing clothes is a complex nine stage process", "plant is breakdown into shape", "withe help"). Furthermore, some sentences are overly long and run-on, affecting readability. Because errors are frequent but rarely impede overall communication, the performance corresponds to a Band 5.5.
