Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

The response partially addresses the task by outlining the main steps in the bamboo fabric manufacturing process, from planting to creating finished clothing. However, the explanation of the stages is limited and under-developed, missing several key details from the visual such as the specific transformation from strips to liquid pulp and the filtering stage. Furthermore, the response fails to meet the minimum length requirement of 150 words, containing only 139 words. While an overview is attempted at the end, it is overly generalised and lacks sufficient data reporting from the diagram.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The text demonstrates a coherent overall arrangement with a clear attempt to follow the chronological steps of the process. Cohesive devices such as 'Firstly', 'Moving toward to next step', and 'Overall' are used to sequence the writing, although some transitions feel mechanical and repetitive. Paragraphing is used to separate the main body from the introductory and concluding remarks, but the referencing between steps is occasionally unclear, particularly in the dense middle section where multiple actions are compressed into a single sentence.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

The vocabulary used is limited but minimally adequate for the task, featuring basic process-related terms like 'grow', 'harvest', 'cut', and 'wash'. However, there are noticeable lexical errors, such as 'generate fabric' instead of 'manufacture fabric', 'sperate' instead of 'separate', 'fliter' instead of 'filter', and 'yam' instead of 'yarn'. These inaccuracies in word choice, form, and spelling cause some difficulty for the reader and reflect a restricted vocabulary range appropriate for this band level.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

The writing exhibits a very limited range of sentence structures, relying heavily on simple sentences and overly long, run-on clauses linked by conjunctions like 'and' or 'than' (e.g., 'than do harvesting after that we need to cut into strips them'). There are frequent errors in verb forms, prepositions, and sentence construction, such as 'for make it soften fibres' and 'when soften fibres generated than we need to produces yam'. These frequent grammatical errors cause strain and confusion for the reader.
