Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0

The response makes a minimal attempt to describe the process of manufacturing fabric from bamboo. While the writer mentions several steps from the visual, such as planting, harvesting, and weaving, the reporting is incomplete and lacks a clear overview of the overall process. Furthermore, there is significant confusion regarding the sequence of steps, for instance, placing filtering and softening out of logical order. The information is presented in a repetitive and tangential manner rather than as a well-structured summary of main features and comparisons.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5

The text suffers from severe organizational issues, lacking proper paragraphing as it consists of just two very long, unpunctuated sentences. Cohesive devices are either missing or misused, relying heavily on endless repetition of 'and' and 'in step'. There is no clear logical progression or structure to guide the reader through the sequence of the diagram, making it difficult to follow the overall flow of information.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

The vocabulary used is basic, repetitive, and heavily dependent on copying words directly from the prompt, such as 'bamboo plants', 'fabric', and 'manufactured'. There are several word-choice and spelling errors, such as 'nd' for 'and', 'plan' instead of 'plant', 'toal' instead of 'total', 'strpis' instead of 'strips', 'seprated' instead of 'separated', and 'yam' instead of 'yarn'. These lexical limitations and errors strain the reader and restrict communication.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

The grammatical range is extremely limited, consisting almost entirely of poorly controlled, run-on sentences joined by coordinating conjunctions without appropriate punctuation or capitalization. There is a complete lack of complex sentence structures and proper punctuation. Frequent errors in verb forms, prepositions, and sentence boundaries—such as 'in the diagram it shows step by step how fabric is manufactured...'-cause considerable difficulty and significantly distort meaning throughout the response.
