Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

The response covers the general stages of the bamboo manufacturing process, but it fails to present a clear, fully developed overview of the entire sequence. While you mention planting, harvesting, crushing, and weaving, several steps are only partially addressed or described with limited detail. For instance, stating that "it cut into strips and crush it to make liquid pulp" condenses multiple crucial steps together without sufficient clarity. Furthermore, the inclusion of personal commentary and prescriptive language such as "we should plant a bamboo trees" is inappropriate for an academic process description, which requires an objective summary of the visual data. To reach a higher standard, you need to ensure all main stages of the diagram are clearly outlined in a logical sequence, supported by an introductory overview statement without introducing subjective opinions or irrelevant background information.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

Your writing shows some overall organization into paragraphs that follow the general progression of the diagram from left to right and top to bottom. You make use of basic cohesive devices and transition markers such as "First of all", "And then", and "While" to link ideas together. However, the logical progression is occasionally disrupted by mechanical or repetitive referencing, such as the frequent, repetitive use of "and it" to connect clauses within sentences. Paragraphing is also somewhat basic and could be structured more cleanly around the major phases of the manufacturing process. To improve further, you should vary your cohesive devices and ensure that pronoun referencing is precise and clearly links back to the correct nouns, allowing the information to flow more naturally from one step to the next without feeling disjointed.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You demonstrate a minimally adequate range of vocabulary to describe the process, successfully incorporating terms such as "manufactured", "harvest", "strips", "liquid pulp", "filter", and "weave". However, the lexical range is limited, and there are noticeable errors in word choice, word form, and collocation that occasionally cause difficulty for the reader. For example, using "session" instead of "stage" or "process" in "filter session", and writing "soften fibers" as a noun phrase rather than using the verb or participle form ("softened fibres"). There are also awkward phrasings like "different nine methods". To achieve a higher band, you need to expand your vocabulary with more precise technical and process-related terminology, use word forms accurately, and eliminate errors in collocation and phrasing.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

Your response relies on a limited range of sentence structures, primarily mixing simple sentences with basic attempts at complex clauses. However, these attempts are frequently marred by frequent grammatical errors, including issues with subject-verb agreement ("a bamboo trees"), incorrect verb tenses ("It tooks", "it harvest"), missing articles, and awkward passive voice constructions. Additionally, punctuation errors, such as missing spaces after commas ("First of all,we"), are present throughout the text. These frequent errors require the reader to occasionally pause and interpret your meaning. To improve your grammar score, you need to demonstrate better control over basic sentence mechanics, ensure correct tense consistency throughout a process description, and accurately form complex sentence structures with appropriate punctuation.
