Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5

The response makes an attempt to describe the process of making bamboo fabric, but it only addresses the task minimally. While it mentions several steps, the information is disjointed, incomplete, and difficult to follow as a coherent summary. Furthermore, the length requirement is not met, as the text falls short of the minimum word count. To move up, you need to write at least 150 words and present a clear, well-organised overview of all the main stages shown in the diagram without missing key steps.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5

The essay lacks clear logical organisation and progression. The information is grouped haphazardly without appropriate paragraphing, making the overall arrangement very difficult to follow. Cohesive devices are used awkwardly or inaccurately (such as 'At the begin' and 'Moreover'), and referencing is unclear, which disrupts the flow of the writing. To improve, you should structure your report into logical paragraphs—such as an introduction with an overview, followed by clear sequencing of the initial and final stages of the process—and use standard transition words naturally.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

The vocabulary used is limited and repetitive, with frequent errors in word choice, word form, and spelling (such as 'fabriv', 'prosses', 'tow', 'sixeth', and 'reasy'). While there are some attempts to use process-related terms like 'harvest', 'crush', and 'filter', these are often misused or embedded in awkward phrasing that strains the reader. To achieve a higher band, you need to expand your range of vocabulary, use precise terms related to manufacturing processes, and pay closer attention to correct spelling and word forms.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

Grammatical control is weak, with a very limited range of sentence structures. Most sentences contain frequent errors, including missing verbs, incorrect prepositions, and poor punctuation, which often obscure the intended meaning (e.g., 'The given data illustrate the information about manufactured, how fabric is manufactured by bamboo. step by step.'). Complex structures are rarely attempted accurately. To progress, you need to focus on forming complete, grammatically correct sentences, improving your use of verbs and relative clauses, and ensuring proper punctuation throughout your writing.
