Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You identify the process as having nine stages and report several key steps in the correct order, including planting and harvesting bamboo, cutting and crushing it, filtering the liquid, softening the fibres, and making fabric and clothing. However, the response only partially covers the diagram: the spinning stage is unclear, and the final step is described vaguely as making “different types of clothes,” rather than noting the illustrated T-shirt and socks. There is also no clear overview of the process as a whole, such as its progression from seasonal cultivation to finished garments. Some details, including “other more with many other types of weave,” are not supported by the diagram. A concise overview and more precise reporting of each stage would make the response more complete.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a basic sequence, and phrases such as “The initial step,” “Additionally,” and “Furthermore” help signal movement through the process. The reader can generally follow the stages from growing bamboo to producing clothing. However, the progression is not consistently clear: “which is the last basic steps” does not clearly connect the fibre-softening stage to the next part, and “to make yun and spin created weave” makes the final manufacturing sequence difficult to follow. Paragraphing is limited, and some linking expressions feel mechanical or are incorrectly capitalised. Organise the response into a clear introduction and overview, followed by stages in order, and use precise links such as “After the fibres are softened” to clarify transitions.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some relevant process vocabulary, including “harvest,” “strips,” “liquid pulp,” “filtering,” “fibre,” and “fabric,” which helps communicate the main subject. However, the range is limited and several noticeable spelling and word-choice errors make parts difficult to understand: “bomboo,” “cursh,” and “yun” obscure key terms, while “harder steps” and “beautiful fabric” are imprecise or subjective for a factual process description. Phrases such as “make liquid pulp from crush the strips” also show weak collocation. Aim for accurate, neutral process language, for example “crush the strips to produce pulp” and “spin the fibres into yarn.” Proofreading technical terms would improve clarity.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

You attempt to connect stages in longer sentences, but grammatical control is inconsistent, and errors sometimes make relationships between steps unclear. For example, “The details illustrate the details about how to made” has faulty verb construction, while “The initial step is the plant bombo plants spring grow” lacks a clear sentence structure. Agreement and articles are also problematic in “the fabric are used” and “the plant,” and the sentence beginning “which is the last basic steps” is incomplete. Most sentences rely on simple coordination with “and” or “after that,” so the range of structures is limited. Build shorter, complete sentences first, checking subject–verb agreement and verb forms, then add controlled clauses such as “After the strips are crushed, the pulp is filtered.”
