Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
Write at least 150 words.
Student answer (Band 5.0)
The diagram shows how to make clothes from the bamboo plants.Overall, to focus on season in which they grow and then to make a fabric from these plants at the end.
At first, the bamboo trees were found in spring season then it will be going for harvesting in autumn season. When doing this then to go for a cutting process which can be converted into strips shape. After, cuting down into strips then different fibers can be mixed with these strips such as water and amine oxide which called as a soften fibers.Secondly, filterinmg process can take place after that which can separate the liquid from fiberic items.
On the other hand, the crush strips from bamboo plants can be crushed and to make liquid pulp from it.When it will converted into liquid pulp then it can shaped in ball by spining process and then to make weave and finally it make a fiberic and also clothes from it .

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You identify the process’s broad purpose, from bamboo plants to fabric and clothing, and include several relevant stages such as planting, harvesting, cutting, crushing, spinning and weaving. However, the account only partially reports the diagram: the sequence is confused, and filtering is described as separating liquid from “fiberic items,” whereas the diagram specifies separating long fibres from liquid. The softening stage is also misplaced before filtering, and the addition of water and amine oxide is incorrectly presented as mixing them with the strips rather than softening the fibres. The overview is unclear (“to focus on season”) and does not summarise the main progression accurately. To improve, give a concise overview and describe each stage in the correct order, including the final clothing stage.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
There is some organisation: you begin with an introduction and an attempted overview, then describe stages using “At first,” “Secondly,” and “finally.” This gives the reader a basic sense that the process has a sequence. However, progression is difficult to follow because the stages are not consistently ordered and some transitions are inaccurate. For example, “After, cuting down into strips” leads to softening, while filtering is introduced afterwards, reversing the diagram’s order. “On the other hand” signals contrast, although no contrasting process is being discussed. Several ideas are crowded into long sentences, and references such as “it” and “these plants” are not always clear. Use separate paragraphs for the overview and process details, and connect each stage with precise sequence markers.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant process vocabulary, including “harvesting,” “strips,” “liquid pulp,” “filtering,” “spinning,” and “weave,” so the topic is generally recognisable. However, the range is limited and several word choices or forms are inaccurate, sometimes making the process unclear. “Bamboo trees” is less suitable than “bamboo plants,” while “fiberic items” and “make a weave” do not express the intended technical meaning naturally. There are also noticeable spelling errors, including “cuting,” “filterinmg,” and “spining.” Aim for accurate process terms and check spelling and collocations. For example, describe fibres being “softened” and yarn being “woven into fabric,” rather than using improvised phrases.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
You attempt both simple and longer sentences, but control is inconsistent, and complex constructions often become difficult to understand. Examples include “Overall, to focus on season in which they grow” and “When it will converted into liquid pulp then it can shaped in ball,” where sentence structure and verb forms are faulty. Tense shifts also occur: “were found” is followed by “it will be going,” although a process description is normally reported consistently in the present simple or passive. Articles and agreement are also problematic in phrases such as “make a fabric” and “it make.” Punctuation and spacing need attention, including the missing space after “plants.” Practise clear present-simple passive sentences, such as “The strips are crushed to produce pulp,” before attempting longer clauses.
