Student answer (Band 5.0)

The given pitchures demonstrate how fabric is manufactured from bamboo plant.

According to the diagram, various stages involved in the process of bamboo plant. Firstly bamboo plants panted in spring season and harvested in autumn which is suitable season for harvested these plants. After harvested those plants cut into various strips. Thses crush strips further processed to made liquid pulp. These liquid pulp is finally converted to long fibres from liquid. When separation process take place soften fibres added water and amine oxide for further processing and after addition of these elements spining process start to make yarn which is basically a raw matrieal. These raw matrieal are uesd to made a specific type of weave which is very essential to make fabric. Thses specfic kinds of fabrics are uesd to made various kinds of wearing products such as t-shirts, socks, and vareity of bamboo fabrics which is often a very outstanding quality of bamboo manufacturation.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You identify the process as beginning with planting in spring and harvesting in autumn, and you cover the main transformation from bamboo strips to yarn, fabric and clothing. However, the account is only partly accurate and the overview is not clearly stated. For example, “liquid pulp is finally converted to long fibres from liquid” reverses the filtering stage: the diagram shows long fibres being separated from the liquid, then softened with water and amine oxide. The final stage is finished clothing, not “various kinds of bamboo fabrics.” Some details, such as the suitability of autumn for harvesting and the fabric’s “outstanding quality,” are not shown. A concise overview of the agricultural, processing and manufacturing phases, followed by accurate stage descriptions, would make the response more complete.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The stages are generally presented in the correct broad order, and sequencing words such as “Firstly,” “After,” and “finally” help the reader follow the process. However, the response is one continuous paragraph, so the overview and stage details are not clearly separated. Several links are also awkward or unclear: “When separation process take place soften fibres added…” makes it difficult to see exactly when the fibres are softened, while “These raw material are used to made a specific type of weave” does not clearly connect yarn to weaving. Repeated use of “these” and “which” also weakens reference. Grouping the stages into a short overview and a logically organised description, with clearer links such as “Next” and “Once filtered,” would improve progression.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some relevant process vocabulary, including “harvested,” “liquid pulp,” “fibres,” “spinning,” “yarn” and “weave,” which helps communicate the general subject. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate, sometimes making the process hard to understand. “Converted to long fibres from liquid” is not a natural or precise description of filtering, and “a specific type of weave” does not accurately describe the step of weaving yarn into fabric. There are also noticeable spelling errors, including “pitchures,” “Thses,” “spining,” “matrieal” and “vareity.” Use precise process verbs and check spelling carefully; avoid unsupported evaluative phrases such as “outstanding quality,” which do not describe information in the diagram.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

The response attempts to connect stages in longer sentences, for example, “After harvested those plants cut into various strips,” but these complex constructions are often faulty. Errors with verb forms and sentence structure occur throughout: “bamboo plants panted” needs a passive form such as “are planted,” and “After harvested” should be “After they are harvested.” Articles, agreement and plurals are also inconsistent, as in “When separation process take place” and “These raw matrieal are.” The final sentence contains several clauses joined without clear grammatical control. These errors sometimes make relationships between stages difficult to follow. Build accuracy first with clear passive sentences for each step, then combine them using correctly formed time clauses and conjunctions.
