Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You identify the process as having nine steps and mention several relevant stages, including planting, harvesting, crushing, filtering, softening, spinning and weaving. However, the account is only partial: it does not clearly explain the full sequence, and the final stage—making clothing items—is only vaguely described as “made are the cloths.” Some details are inaccurate or unclear, such as saying the bamboo is planted and harvested in autumn; the diagram specifies planting in spring and harvesting in autumn. The overview also focuses on the importance of every step rather than summarising the main transformation from bamboo to finished products. The response is below the required 150 words, which further limits the detail provided. A clearer overview and accurate, complete stage descriptions would strengthen the report.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

There is a basic attempt to organise the response into an overview and two body paragraphs, and the stages are presented broadly in process order. However, progression is difficult to follow because several steps are compressed into unclear fragments, for example, “Filter long fibers from liquid to saparated” and “Moreover the process spining in the done.” Linking phrases such as “By having a cursory glance” and “moving further ahead” are repetitive and do not reliably clarify the relationships between stages. The overview’s comment that missing one step would disturb the process also interrupts the description rather than helping organise it. Use a straightforward sequence—first, next, after this, finally—and give each stage a clear sentence with an explicit connection to the next.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

The response includes some task-relevant vocabulary, such as “liquid pulp,” “long fibers,” “amine oxide,” “spining” (intended as spinning), and “fabric.” It also attempts less common expressions, including “cursory glance” and “lucid,” but these are unnatural in this report and do not improve precision. Frequent spelling errors—“manufacured,” “genral,” “autamn,” and “saparated”—make the text harder to read, while several word choices or forms are inaccurate, such as “palutted” for planted and “softning” without a clear object. Aim for accurate process vocabulary rather than ornate phrases. Useful terms include “plant,” “harvest,” “cut into strips,” “filter,” “soften the fibres,” “spin into yarn,” and “weave into fabric.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

The response attempts both simple and longer sentence forms, but grammatical control is weak and errors frequently obscure the intended meaning. For example, “the whole process consists of nine steps” is understandable, but “Any one step are mised the proces if the whole process are the disturbed” has problems with clause structure, agreement and verb forms. The opening also has an unnecessary comma after “about,” and phrases such as “amine oxide are added with water into the softning” lack a complete, well-formed structure. Most sentences do not show reliable control of tense or subject–verb agreement, and the range of accurate sentence patterns is limited. Build clear present-simple sentences, such as “The fibres are softened by adding water and amine oxide,” and check agreement, articles and punctuation.
