Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
Write at least 150 words.
Student answer (Band 4.0)
these digrams clearly hihglihghts the process of summarise the informtion by sescting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where reavant,The process will include 3 steps:Tn pant bamboo, harvest, cut into.soften fibres.filter and crush.
It is observed that the process of summarise the information is a very long process.
As can be seen frome the diagram the first step in the process of summarise information is plant bamoo for mohun and it is by spring using, harvest. Also, the second step in the process is cut into, soften fibres by using for the three months.
finally, The last step in the process is fillter, crush by using for 6 months.
In short, it can be obviosly noted that process of summarise information is not easy process because it has many steps, starting frome plant bamboo and ending with the crush.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 3.0
The response recognises that the diagram shows a process and attempts to identify its beginning and end, but it does not accurately summarise the main stages. It says the process ends with “the crush,” whereas the diagram ends with weaving fabric and producing clothing. Several stages are confused: filtering, softening and crushing are presented in the wrong order, and the response invents durations such as “three months” and “6 months,” which are not shown. The overview that it is “a very long process” is too general to convey the key transformation from harvested bamboo to fabric and garments. The response is also below the required 150 words; nine words copied from the prompt were excluded from the count. Describe the stages in sequence and include only information supported by the diagram.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5
There is a basic attempt to organise the response with an opening, a description of stages, and a concluding sentence. Sequencing expressions such as “first,” “second,” “finally,” and “In short” show an effort to guide the reader. However, the progression is difficult to follow because stages are grouped together without clear relationships, and the order given does not match the diagram. For example, “soften fibres.filter and crush” is not a clear sequence, while the later account again rearranges the stages. The opening repeats wording from the task rather than introducing the process, and the conclusion repeats the idea that it has many steps. Use separate paragraphs for an overview and the ordered stages, and connect each stage clearly to the next.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.0
The response uses a small set of relevant process words, including “harvest,” “plant bamboo,” “fibres,” and “process,” so the general topic can be recognised. However, vocabulary is repetitive and several words are misspelled or used inaccurately, including “digrams,” “hihglihghts,” “informtion,” and “fillter.” Some phrases are unclear or unsuitable for describing the diagram, such as “process of summarise the information” and “plant bamoo for mohun.” The response also uses “crush” as the endpoint, although the diagram shows that crushing is an intermediate stage. Build a more precise set of process verbs—such as cut, crush, filter, soften, spin and weave—and check spelling and word forms before submitting.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
The response attempts both simple and longer sentence forms, for example, “It is observed that…” and “As can be seen frome the diagram…,” but control is inconsistent. The opening contains a faulty construction (“these digrams clearly hihglihghts the process”), and several later sentences lack clear grammatical relationships, as in “the first step … is plant bamoo for mohun and it is by spring using, harvest.” Verb forms and sentence boundaries are also problematic, while commas and full stops are often missing or misplaced. These errors make parts of the description difficult to understand. Practise writing short, complete sentences with a clear subject and verb, then combine stages using accurate clauses such as “After the bamboo is harvested, it is cut into strips.”
