Student answer (Band 5.5)
The diagram below illustrates the step by step information how the fabric is manufactured from bamboo.
Overall, bamboo plants grows in spring season.Farmers harvest bamboo in autumn an then going through many procedures and convert it into fabric and then use in cloth making.
In the spring season bamboo grew which is ready for harvesting in the autumn.
Then in next step bamboo sticks cut down in to strips and then crushed in order to make liquid pulp.
In the next step liquid pulp gose through filtration process which separate long fibers from liquid followed by a chemical procedure where use water and amino acid in order to soften the fabric.
Later, soften fabric spin over each other to make a yarn in the next it become weave to make fabric which is finally ready ti make cloths,In final steps cloths like shirts, socks produce form that fabric.
This way where a bambo sticks gone through mnay procedures to make cloths.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You cover the main stages from planting and autumn harvesting through processing, spinning and weaving, and your overview correctly identifies the transformation from bamboo to fabric and clothing. The sequence of cutting, crushing, filtering and softening is also broadly accurate. However, some details are unclear or inaccurate: the diagram specifies amine oxide, not amino acid, and the fibres are softened before they are spun, rather than the fabric being softened. The overview could also describe the process more precisely by noting its agricultural beginning and the final production of garments. The response addresses the task, but some stages are reported less clearly than others; accurate terminology and a sharper summary of the full process would strengthen it.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, an overview, and paragraphs describing the early and later stages. Sequencing expressions such as “Then,” “In the next step,” and “Later” help the reader follow the process. However, the progression becomes less controlled in the final paragraph, where several stages are crowded into one sentence and the ending repeats the idea that bamboo undergoes procedures to make clothes. Some links are also awkward or unclear, particularly “followed by a chemical procedure where use water” and “in the next it become weave.” Use one clear sentence for each group of stages, and make references such as “it” explicit so the reader can easily identify whether you mean the fibres, yarn or fabric.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use relevant process vocabulary, including “harvest,” “strips,” “liquid pulp,” “filtration,” “fibers,” “yarn” and “weave,” which allows you to describe most stages. There is some variety in how you refer to the process, but several word-choice, collocation and spelling problems reduce precision. For example, “amino acid” misnames the chemical shown, “soften the fabric” confuses fabric with fibres, and “cloths” is not the natural plural for garments in this context. Errors such as “gose,” “ti” and “mnay” are noticeable. Aim for accurate process terms and natural combinations, such as “the fibres are softened” and “garments are produced.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more extended sentences, and the sequence is generally understandable. However, errors in agreement, verb forms, articles and sentence construction occur across the response. Examples include “bamboo plants grows,” “liquid pulp gose through,” and “which separate long fibers,” where the verb forms do not agree with their subjects. The sentence beginning “Later, soften fabric spin over each other” is difficult to interpret because its subject and verb structure are incomplete or unclear. Punctuation also needs attention: several sentences run together, as in the final lines, and spacing after full stops is inconsistent. Practise building accurate passive sentences for processes, such as “The fibres are softened and then spun into yarn.”
