Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
Write at least 150 words.
Student answer (Band 5.0)
The given pictures provides us information that how bamboo fabric is made from bamboo plants.
First of all, bamboo plants are grown in spring season and when they are fully grown, the bamboo plants harvested in the autumn season and then bamboo plants bring into a cutter, where these plants cuts into small pieces.Furthermore these small strips went to a filter, where big strips are filtered and and small strips went to the next machine, where water is added in these strips and and they make it softer for next process. Moreover after water process these strips went to to ruler machine, where it took a shape of round balls. And at the endfeom these cotton balls the cloth is manufactured and then these cloth bring to different textile industries, where different kinds of shirts, socks and jeans are made. Although this process is very time taking but after all these steps the wearing cloths are manufactured.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5
You identify the broad sequence from planting and harvesting to producing fabric and clothing, and you correctly mention the seasonal stages. However, several central steps are misreported, which limits how fully the process is covered: the diagram shows crushing strips into liquid pulp, filtering out long fibres, then softening those fibres with water and amine oxide. Your account instead says large and small strips are separated and that the strips are softened, so the materials and purpose of the stages are unclear. The final stages are also inaccurately described: yarn is spun and woven into fabric, rather than formed into “round balls” and sent to textile industries. Include a concise overview and report each key transformation accurately.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response follows the general order of the process, using markers such as “First of all,” “Furthermore,” “Moreover,” and “At the end,” so readers can trace a basic progression. However, it is presented as one long paragraph, and the linking words sometimes make the sequence harder to follow rather than clearer. For example, “after water process” is followed by the yarn-making stage, while the filtering and softening steps are blended together in a long sentence. Repeated “and” also creates loose connections between ideas. Organise the response into an introduction and overview, followed by clearly grouped stages, and use precise links such as “Next,” “After filtering,” and “Finally.”
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant process vocabulary, including “harvested,” “filter,” “softer,” and “manufactured,” which helps communicate the topic. However, the range is limited and several choices are inaccurate or imprecise for this diagram. “Ruler machine” does not describe spinning, and “cotton balls” incorrectly names the bamboo yarn. Phrases such as “bring into a cutter” and “went to a filter” are also awkward, while “different textile industries” adds a destination not shown. Aim for accurate process terms and natural collocations, such as “cut into strips,” “crushed into pulp,” “long fibres,” “spun into yarn,” and “woven into fabric.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt to connect stages in longer sentences, but the response relies heavily on these structures and frequent errors sometimes make the relationships between actions unclear. For example, “the bamboo plants harvested” is missing an auxiliary, and “these plants cuts” has incorrect subject–verb agreement. Passive forms are especially important for describing a process, but “these small strips went to a filter” and “these cloth bring” are not formed accurately. There are also sentence-boundary and punctuation problems, such as the run-on sequence beginning “Furthermore these small strips…” and missing spaces after commas. Practise consistent passive constructions—“the plants are harvested,” “the strips are crushed,” and “the fabric is woven”—and separate each stage into controlled sentences.
