Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You identify the process as making fabric from bamboo and report several key stages, including planting in spring, harvesting in autumn, crushing, filtering, softening, spinning and weaving. The final clothing products are also mentioned. However, the response does not give a clear overview of the process as a whole, and some details are incomplete or imprecise: for example, the diagram shows bamboo being cut into strips, not branches, and the final stage is the production of clothing rather than simply showing items “according to needs.” The description also does not clearly explain the full sequence from raw bamboo to finished products. A concise overview and more accurate reporting of each stage would make the response address the task more fully.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The stages are generally presented in the correct order, and words such as “Then,” “in the seventh step” and “in the last steps” help the reader follow the process. This gives the response some overall organisation. However, the paragraphing is not effective: the opening is separated into short, disconnected statements, while the later stages are grouped in a long block. The use of capital letters is inconsistent, and transitions between stages are sometimes abrupt. For example, “then sixthy step” moves directly into the softening stage without a clear link to the filtering step. Organise the response into a brief introduction, an overview, and logically grouped process stages, using consistent sequencing language.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some relevant process vocabulary, including “harvest,” “strips,” “liquid pulp,” “filter,” “fibers,” “spin” and “weave,” which helps communicate the main stages. However, the range is limited and several word choices, forms and spellings make the description difficult to read, such as “manufactring,” “fabriction,” “yam” and “procced.” Some expressions are also imprecise: “branches” is used where the diagram shows bamboo stalks, and “by manually and mechanical process” is unclear. Aim for accurate process terms and natural collocations, such as “the stalks are cut into strips” and “the fibres are spun into yarn.” Proofreading spelling and choosing precise nouns will improve clarity.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

The response attempts to describe a sequence using both short statements and longer clauses, but grammatical control is weak and errors occur frequently. Passive forms, which are useful for describing a process, are often incomplete or incorrectly formed: “branches of plant harvest” and “liquid is filter” should use forms such as “the bamboo is harvested” and “the liquid is filtered.” There are also problems with articles, agreement and sentence construction, as in “the steps includes almost 9 steps” and “long fibers are add in solution.” Capitalisation and punctuation are inconsistent, and several sentences run together. Practise accurate present-simple passive structures and check each sentence for a clear subject, verb and punctuation.
