Student answer (Band 5.0)
The diagram illustrates the various stages involved in the process be which fabric is maed up with bamboo.
Overall, the process comprises 8 main stages beginning with plant bamboo in spring and culminating to weave. it follow a linewr sequence, with that process of plating bamboo and cloths with grown bamboo.
Initially, plant bamboo plants in spring. The resulting bamboo is then harvest in autumn, after which it is cut into strips. Subsequently, soften the fibers in which water and amine oxide added in srips, preparing the material for the following step.
In the subsequent stages, filter process happens in which long fibers had separate from liquid. The resulting material has crush to make liquid pulp.once the strips have crush, then it spinning process take place to make yam. Finally, In reasulting weave process take place in which yam is used to make make fabric, then fininshed process is that this fabric is used to make any type of cloths

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You identify the process as a sequence and mention several relevant stages, including planting in spring, harvesting in autumn, making yarn and producing fabric. However, the account only partially reports the diagram and contains important inaccuracies: the overview says there are eight stages and that the process culminates in weaving, whereas the diagram shows nine stages and ends with clothing items. The order of the middle stages is also reversed: bamboo is crushed into pulp before it is filtered, and the fibres are softened after filtering. The overview is unclear about the overall transformation. To improve, give an accurate overview of the start and end points, then describe all stages in their correct order, including the final clothing stage.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a basic paragraph structure, moving from an introduction and overview to descriptions of the process, and sequencing expressions such as “Initially,” “Subsequently” and “Finally” help signal progression. However, the progression is difficult to follow because the middle stages are presented in the wrong order and some transitions do not clarify how one stage leads to the next. For example, “In the subsequent stages” introduces filtering before crushing, while “once the strips have crush” then returns to crushing. The overview also combines several unclear ideas in one sentence. Organise the stages in the diagram’s exact sequence and use one clear sentence per group of steps, with references such as “the resulting pulp” to connect ideas.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You attempt some process-specific vocabulary, including “harvest,” “strips,” “fibers,” “liquid pulp” and “amine oxide,” which is appropriate to the topic. However, the range is limited and several word-choice, word-form and spelling errors make parts difficult to understand: “maed up with bamboo,” “plating bamboo,” “yam” for yarn, and “cloths” where “clothing” is intended. Some phrases are also unnatural, such as “culminating to weave” and “the resulting material has crush.” Aim for accurate process verbs and collocations, for example “is harvested,” “is crushed into pulp,” “the fibres are softened,” and “the yarn is woven into fabric.” Proofreading spelling and choosing precise terms will make the description clearer.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You make some attempts to combine ideas using clauses, as in “after which it is cut into strips,” and the response includes both simple and more extended sentences. However, complex structures are often faulty, and frequent errors in verb forms, agreement, articles and sentence boundaries can make the process hard to follow. Examples include “the process be which,” “the resulting bamboo is then harvest,” “long fibers had separate,” and “it spinning process take place.” There are also incomplete or poorly punctuated constructions, such as “Initially, plant bamboo plants in spring” and “liquid pulp.once.” Practise passive forms for process descriptions (“is harvested,” “is filtered,” “is woven”) and check that each sentence has a complete subject and verb.
