Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You cover the main sequence from planting and harvesting through processing, weaving, and making clothing, and you correctly mention several key operations, including crushing the strips, filtering the pulp, and adding water and amine oxide. However, the account is only partly accurate: bamboo is planted in spring and harvested in autumn, whereas you say it is ready in spring and later refer to cutting in autumn. The diagram shows finished clothing as the final stage, not that machines shape it, and it does not state that the products are affordable or that factories make clothes more quickly. There is also no clear overview of the process as a whole. Focus on the diagram’s stated stages and give a concise overview of its progression from growing bamboo to finished garments.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The response follows the numbered process in broadly the correct order, and transitions such as “After that,” “Move to the next step,” and “In 7 step” help signal sequence. However, the writing is presented as one continuous paragraph, so the stages are not grouped into clear sections, and the repeated transition formula makes the progression mechanical. Some links are difficult to follow, particularly “Move to next onces Filter the pulp” and “They all process repart,” which do not clearly show how one stage relates to the next. Organise the description into an introduction/overview and a body tracing the stages, and use a wider range of accurate linking phrases rather than repeatedly announcing each step.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some relevant process vocabulary, including “strips,” “liquid pulp,” “fibers,” “yarn,” and “weave,” which allows the reader to recognise several stages. However, the range is limited and there are frequent spelling and word-choice problems, such as “ajd,” “scokes,” “ets,” “fir,” and “metchines.” Some expressions are also imprecise or unnatural: “cut into new form” and “make Good fabric” do not describe the process clearly, while “individuals” is unnecessary for the harvesting stage. Choose precise process verbs and check spelling carefully. For example, use “harvest the bamboo,” “separate the fibres,” and “produce finished garments” to describe the diagram more naturally and accurately.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

The response attempts to describe a sequence using short clauses and some longer sentences, but grammatical control is weak and errors occur throughout. Examples include “The bamboo plant seed put in soil” (missing an appropriate verb and article), “plant grow properly” (subject–verb agreement), and “this process add water” (unclear subject and verb form). Tense and sentence boundaries are also inconsistent, as in “In spring season plant grow properly then ready in spring season.” These problems sometimes make the intended meaning difficult to follow. Practise forming complete sentences with a clear subject and verb, and use the present simple consistently for process descriptions: for example, “The bamboo is planted in spring and harvested in autumn.” Check articles, agreement, and punctuation when editing.
