Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You identify the process as beginning with bamboo planting and ending with clothing, and include several relevant stages, such as harvesting, cutting, filtering, spinning and weaving. However, the account does not report the sequence accurately: crushing occurs before filtering and softening, but you place crushing later, and you suggest the bamboo is fully grown before harvest without this being stated. The overview also says the process ends with weaving, although the diagram includes a final stage showing finished clothes. Some stages are mentioned without enough explanation, and the overview does not clearly summarise the full progression from plant to product. A more complete, correctly ordered account with a concise overview would strengthen the response.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has an overall process structure, using an opening, an overview and two body paragraphs, and sequencing expressions such as “Firstly,” “Furthermore,” and “In addition” help signal movement through the stages. The reader can generally recognise that the process moves from growing bamboo towards fabric and clothing. However, the order within the description is confusing: filtering and softening are presented before crushing, despite the diagram showing the reverse. Some linking phrases are also used mechanically or connect ideas unclearly, particularly “In addition, following the process are crush strips.” The long final sentence combines several stages and makes their relationships difficult to follow. Grouping the stages in diagram order and using shorter, clearer sentences would improve progression.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant process vocabulary, including “harvest,” “strips,” “liquid pulp,” “fibres,” “spin” and “weave,” which helps communicate the topic. However, the range is limited and several inaccurate word choices or forms make parts of the description unclear. For example, “making yam to spin” appears to mean producing yarn by spinning, while “keep soften fibric” does not clearly describe softening the fibres. There are also noticeable spelling errors, including “manufactring,” “seasion,” “diffirent” and “shoks.” Aim to use the diagram’s precise terms consistently and check spelling and collocations. More accurate process vocabulary would make the account clearer and more natural.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
You attempt to connect stages in longer sentences, for example with “when” and “then,” and the reader can understand the broad topic. However, sentence structures are limited and many attempts at complex sentences are faulty. Examples include “the process are start,” “which is begain,” and “when is completely grow,” where verb forms and agreement are not controlled. Articles and plurals are also inconsistent, as in “nine process” and “a various type.” Punctuation is weak: there is no space after several commas, and the final sentence runs through multiple stages without clear sentence boundaries. Practise accurate simple present passive forms, such as “the strips are crushed,” before combining stages into longer sentences.
