Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0
You identify the general subject and report most of the main stages in the correct order, from planting and harvesting to weaving and clothing. However, the response is brief and does not provide a clear overview of the process as a whole; it mainly lists steps. Some details are unsupported or inaccurate: the diagram does not say planting or harvesting is done manually or by machinery, and the final step shows clothing rather than stating that fabric is ready to make clothes. The response also contains 116 words, below the required 150, so the process is not sufficiently summarised or developed. To improve, add an overview and accurately describe the key stages without inventing methods.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The stages are generally presented in the correct sequence, and linking expressions such as “Firstly,” “Later on,” and “Furthermore” help signal movement through the process. This gives the response some basic organisation. However, it is written as one paragraph, and the repeated step-by-step pattern does not create a clear overview or distinguish the growing stage from the manufacturing stages. Some transitions are awkward or repetitive, including “In seventh step” and “In ninth step or in the end.” Use separate paragraphs for an introduction and overview, then group the stages logically. More precise sequencing and clearer links between stages would make the progression easier to follow.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use several relevant process terms, including “strips,” “liquid pulp,” “fibres,” “filter,” and “weave,” so the reader can recognise the main subject and stages. However, the vocabulary is limited and some word choices or forms are inaccurate, which makes parts of the description less clear. Examples include “plantation of bamboo,” “filteration,” “yarm,” and “weave is to be done.” The repeated use of “step” and “make” also limits variety. Aim to use accurate process collocations and check spelling, especially for key technical words. For example, describe bamboo being planted, fibres being filtered, and yarn being spun rather than relying on awkward passive phrases.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
The response attempts to describe a sequence using simple clauses and some passive constructions, such as “strips crushed” and “fibres will be soften.” However, grammatical control is weak, and errors occur frequently enough to make several sentences awkward or unclear. For instance, “plantation of bamboo done” lacks a correctly formed verb, “it can harvest” has an incorrect subject and verb pattern, and “which will be use” uses the wrong verb form. There are also problems with articles, agreement, and punctuation, including missing spaces after commas. Use straightforward, complete sentences with a consistent present simple passive, such as “The strips are crushed to produce liquid pulp,” and check each sentence for a subject and correctly formed verb.
