Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Write at least 150 words.

Student answer (Band 5.5)

The diagram provided the information about fabric is maufactured from bamboo.

Overall, it is clear that how bamboo fabric is made first of all bamboo plants are planted in spring after spring is over then in autumn bamboo is harvest. After that bamboo cut into strips then crush strips to make liquid pulp after this proccess seprate long fibers from liquid. After that soften fiber process is started in this proccess add water and amine oxide.

Regarding, the diagram shows that the yarn is prepared, after that fabric is made from that yarn. After the fabric is ready, clothes are made from that fabric. After that the proccess is end.

In conclusion, in this proccess eight steps first step is bamboo planta are planted while last step is ready to fabric with yarn the proccess is completed for ready to fabric clothes and socks. At the end the is very hard and it is completed approximately in three months.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You identify the process as beginning with planting and harvesting bamboo and describe several key transformations, including cutting, crushing, filtering and softening the fibres. You also mention the final products, clothing, which shows awareness of the diagram’s endpoint. However, coverage is incomplete and some details are inaccurate: the diagram has nine stages, but you refer to “eight steps,” and the final numbered stage shows clothing rather than “ready to fabric with yarn.” The overview mainly repeats the sequence instead of clearly summarising the process as a whole, such as its progression from seasonal cultivation through fibre processing to yarn, fabric and garments. The claim that it takes “approximately in three months” is not supported by the diagram. Include all stages accurately and avoid adding information not shown.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a basic sequence and separates the early processing stages from the later production of yarn and clothing. Connectors such as “After that” and “Regarding” help signal movement through the process. However, progression is often mechanical and repetitive: “After that” appears several times, while “Overall” and “In conclusion” introduce overlapping summaries rather than distinct functions. The first paragraph also places many stages in one long sequence, making the relationships between them difficult to follow. Paragraphing is present, but the final paragraph repeats earlier information and introduces an unsupported duration. Organise the response into a concise overview followed by clearly grouped stages, and use more precise links such as “Once the fibres have been filtered” or “The final stages involve” to make connections clearer.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use relevant process vocabulary, including “harvest,” “strips,” “liquid pulp,” “fibers,” “yarn” and “fabric,” so the reader can generally identify the stages being described. However, the range is limited and several words or phrases are repeated, particularly “process,” “after that” and “fabric.” There are also noticeable spelling and word-form errors, including “maufactured,” “seprate,” “proccess” and “planta,” which reduce clarity and control. Some combinations are unnatural, such as “the process is end” and “ready to fabric with yarn.” Aim for accurate process collocations and vary the verbs used to describe transformations, for example, “the fibres are softened” and “the yarn is woven into fabric.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and longer sentences, and the sequence is usually understandable. However, the longer constructions are often faulty, and errors occur frequently in verb forms, articles, agreement and sentence boundaries. For example, “bamboo is harvest” needs a passive form (“is harvested”), while “bamboo cut into strips” needs an auxiliary (“is cut”). The opening, “The diagram provided the information about fabric is maufactured,” combines clauses without a clear grammatical structure. “In this proccess eight steps first step is…” also lacks the sentence structure needed to express the point clearly. Practise forming accurate passive sentences, which are especially useful for process descriptions, and use full stops to separate stages. More reliable control of these basic patterns would make your meaning easier to follow.
