Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You identify the process as bamboo fabric production and include several key stages: planting in spring, harvesting in autumn, crushing the strips into pulp, filtering, softening, spinning, and weaving. You also recognise that the final stage produces clothing. However, the overview is unclear and does not summarise the process as a whole; the comment about which season is “more preferred” is not supported by the diagram. Some stages are inaccurately or vaguely described, such as saying the harvester cuts the bamboo into strips, when this is a separate step, and listing trousers among the final products, which are not shown. To strengthen the response, give a concise overview of the sequence and report each stage accurately, without adding unsupported details.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a basic paragraph structure and generally follows the production sequence, moving from planting and harvesting through processing to the finished products. This gives the reader some sense of progression. However, the opening overview is difficult to follow, and the body relies heavily on repeated connectors such as “Further” and “Also,” which makes the links feel mechanical rather than clarifying relationships. Some references are also unclear, for example “the harvest liquid pulp” and “all material and harvest.” Organise the stages into a clear beginning, processing sequence, and final outcome, and use precise references and a smaller range of linking expressions to make the progression easier to follow.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant process vocabulary, including “liquid pulp,” “long fibres,” “amine oxide,” “yarn,” and “weave,” which helps communicate several technical stages. However, the range is limited and word choice is often inaccurate or repetitive. Phrases such as “fabric is assembled,” “harvest cutting,” and “the material is used and who season is more preffered” do not express the intended meaning clearly. There are also spelling and word-form errors, including “prcessing,” “seperate,” and “finaaly.” Aim for accurate process verbs and natural collocations, such as “is manufactured,” “is harvested,” and “is converted into yarn.” Proofreading spelling would also improve clarity.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
The response attempts to connect stages in longer sentences, but sentence structures are often faulty, and errors frequently make the meaning difficult to follow. Examples include “the plants has grow,” “the harvest cutting the bamboo,” and “the soften fibres spin to make and convert into yarn.” These show problems with subject–verb agreement, verb forms, and sentence construction. Articles and punctuation are also inconsistent, as in “Overview, how” and “the next step is processing start.” Use straightforward, complete sentences first, with a clear subject and correctly formed passive verbs—for example, “The bamboo is harvested in autumn” and “The strips are crushed to produce pulp.” Then add more complex structures once these patterns are secure.
