Student answer (Band 5.0)
The diagram illustrates the process how bamboo fabric is made.Overall, the manufactured process is divided for nine stages begining with plant the bamboo and ending with fabric shrit and socks from bamboo. The first process is plant bamboo during spring season, after that farmers begin harvest the plant through field during the autumn season, following to this is cut the bamboo sticks through the strips machine, then the machine begin crushing the bamboo plant to make it liquid pulp, then filter from liquid pulp to separate long fibres from liquid, and turn into soften fibres to add water and amine oxide elements for the bamboo firbres, after that spin the soften fibres inside spin machine to make yam design, prepare it to weave and create fabric in take pillow shape with yam inside it, the final stage is manfactured t- shirt with socks pairs from bamboo plants and sell it in the market.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You identify the process as having nine stages and give its broad direction, from planting bamboo to finished clothing. You also include several accurate details, such as planting in spring, harvesting in autumn, filtering fibres, and adding water and amine oxide. However, the task is only partly covered because some stages are unclear or misreported: the diagram shows fabric being woven, not made “in take pillow shape,” and it does not show the products being sold. The overview also says the process ends with fabric, while the final illustration specifically shows a T-shirt and socks. To strengthen the response, give a concise, accurate overview of the transformation from plant to finished garments, then describe the main stages without adding unsupported details.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The response follows the general order of the process, and sequencing expressions such as “after that,” “following to this,” and “the final stage” help the reader recognise the intended progression. However, most of the information is packed into one long sentence, so the stages are difficult to distinguish and the progression feels mechanical. Some links are also unclear, particularly “then filter from liquid pulp” and “prepare it to weave.” Organise the report into a short overview and a separate process description, using clear sentence boundaries. Group the early growing and preparation stages, then explain fibre treatment and the final production stages. This would make the sequence easier to follow and reduce reliance on repeated transition phrases.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant process vocabulary, including “harvest,” “crushing,” “liquid pulp,” “fibres,” “spin,” and “weave,” which helps communicate the stages. However, the range is limited and several word choices or combinations are inaccurate enough to make parts difficult to understand. For example, “yam design” appears to mean yarn, “strips machine” is not a natural description of the cutting equipment, and “fabric in take pillow shape” does not clearly describe weaving. There are also spelling errors such as “begining,” “shrit,” “firbres,” and “manfactured.” Build accuracy by learning the standard terms for each stage and checking spelling; prefer precise process language over invented or unclear phrases.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The response attempts to connect several stages using subordinate and sequencing clauses, but the sentence structures are often faulty, and there is little variety beyond one extended chain. Examples include “The diagram illustrates the process how bamboo fabric is made” and “Overall, the manufactured process is divided for nine stages begining with plant the bamboo.” These contain problems with clause construction, verb forms, and articles. The long sentence beginning “The first process is plant bamboo” also lacks clear sentence boundaries, making relationships between actions hard to follow. Use simple, complete sentences as a reliable base, then add a few accurate complex sentences. Check verb forms and patterns, for example, “begins with planting” and “is followed by harvesting.”
