Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You identify the process as bamboo fabric production and report several central stages, including planting, harvesting, cutting, crushing, filtering, softening, spinning and weaving. The sequence is mostly recognisable, and the reference to making liquid pulp is relevant. However, the task is only partly covered: there is no clear overview of the process from cultivation to finished products, and the final stage—making clothing such as a T-shirt and socks—is omitted. Some details are unsupported or unclear, such as claiming that a specific variety of bamboo is used and describing cutting to a desired size. To strengthen the response, summarise the overall progression and accurately include the finished garments, while avoiding details not shown in the diagram.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response follows much of the numbered sequence, and phrases such as “In the third step” and “In fifth step” help the reader track the stages. However, the information is presented as one long block, with no clear overview or paragraphing to distinguish the broad phases. Several transitions are awkward or repetitive, and the final sentence combines weaving with the finished product without clearly explaining the link. Some references, such as “this” in “the second step is harvest this,” are difficult to interpret. Organise the report into a brief introduction and overview followed by logically grouped stages, and use clear linking phrases to show how each material changes.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some relevant process vocabulary, including “liquid pulp,” “long fibres,” “spin” and “yarn,” which helps communicate the main production stages. However, the range is limited and several word choices or forms make the meaning unclear, for example “the image under represents,” “through the waves,” and “the requirement” when describing crushing. Spelling errors such as “varity,” “Ater,” “liqiud” and “eigth” are also noticeable. Aim for precise, natural process language and check spelling carefully. For example, use “illustrates” for the opening, “weaving” for the fabric-making stage, and “finished garments” for the final products shown.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

The response attempts to connect stages in longer sentences, but the range of sentence structures is limited and these attempts are often faulty. For instance, “There are the 9(nine) steps … every step has an important role” joins two ideas without suitable punctuation or a linking structure. Agreement and verb forms are also frequently inaccurate, as in “the long fibres is separates,” while “the process separation is take place” has an incorrect verb construction. Articles and sentence boundaries are inconsistent, and the opening has a missing space and capitalisation after “bamboo.” Use shorter, controlled sentences first, checking subject–verb agreement and verb patterns, then add complex clauses where the relationship between stages is clear.
