Student answer (Band 4.5)
Bamboo is a very famous to make fabric. They are most commonly used in most countries in the world.
Although bamboo has many benefits but them major benefit is to make fabric from it. Fabric is manufactured from Bamboo in all countries of the world.
Intitially in Autumn people harvest them and cut into fine strips, then after cutting they crush them to make a liquid pulp. By the process of filteration, people seperate long fibres from that pulpy liquid. Morever, some water and amine oxide is added to make soften fibres.
With some supervision, people spin this soften fibre to make a smooth yarn. These are sent to the market for sale.
Pepole those who are expert in knitting like making swetters, socks and different handcerchief use these yarn and make large profits by saling them in markets especilly in winters.
Some countires export these woolen fabrics to make profit and take economy of country to another level.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0
The response includes several relevant stages, such as cutting bamboo, crushing it into pulp, filtering the fibres, softening them with water and amine oxide, and spinning yarn. However, it only minimally reports the process as shown: it omits the initial planting in spring, does not clearly identify the final weaving and clothing stages, and incorrectly says harvesting happens “Initially in Autumn” without mentioning that planting comes first. Much of the response shifts to unsupported claims about worldwide use, market sales, knitting, exports, and economic benefits. These details do not describe the diagram, and some are inaccurate: the diagram shows fabric being woven and clothing produced, not yarn being sold for people to knit. Focus on the complete sequence and give a concise overview of its agricultural and manufacturing stages.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5
There is some basic sequencing, especially in the paragraph beginning “Initially in Autumn,” where cutting, crushing, filtering, and softening are presented in order. Paragraph breaks also separate the opening claims from the process description. However, the response does not maintain a clear progression through the whole diagram: it starts with general statements, begins the process at harvesting, then moves to yarn sales and unrelated claims about knitting and exports. Connectors such as “then” and “Moreover” help locally, but they do not make the overall account coherent or ensure that all stages are linked. Organise the response around the diagram’s sequence, using one paragraph for the overview and another for the stages, and avoid introducing a separate discussion.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The response uses some relevant process vocabulary, including “liquid pulp,” “long fibres,” “amine oxide,” and “yarn,” so the reader can recognise several manufacturing stages. However, the range is limited and there are frequent spelling and word-choice problems, including “Intitially,” “filteration,” “seperate,” “Pepole,” and “saling.” Some expressions are also inaccurate or unnatural for this process, such as “smooth yarn,” “woolen fabrics,” and “people those who are expert in knitting.” Repeated use of “make” and “profit” further limits precision. Use the diagram’s terms consistently and choose neutral process verbs such as “harvest,” “crush,” “filter,” “soften,” “spin,” and “weave”; careful proofreading would also improve clarity.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The response attempts a few longer structures, including “Although bamboo has many benefits but…” and “With some supervision, people spin this soften fibre…,” but these constructions are often faulty. For example, “Although” should not be paired with “but,” and “this soften fibre” has an incorrect adjective form and number reference. Other errors include “Bamboo is a very famous to make fabric,” “They are most commonly used,” and “These are sent,” where the subject or reference is unclear. Most sentences follow simple patterns, and errors recur in agreement, articles, and sentence construction, sometimes making the intended meaning difficult to follow. Build accurate simple sentences first, then practise adding subordinate clauses without combining incompatible structures.
