Student answer (Band 5.5)
The diagram illustrate how fabric is manufactured from bamboo.
To begin with, the bamboo are planted in spring season. After cooking the farmers has harvested in autumn season. After harvested the bamboo collected the pecies of bamboo cut into strips for further making. The strips cut with the help of cutting blade. Colleect the strips and the next process is crushing strips to make liquide pulp. The liquide separate for long fiber. In addition, they filter to separate long fiber.
After that soften fibers collect and add water or amine oxide for further making. Make a spin role to make yarn. Weave are created with the help of spin yarn. At the end weave used for making fabric and fabric used for making diffrent types of clothes such as shirts or socks for individuals.
To conclude, the process start with planting the bamboo by farmers. And cut into strips and add some water and chemicals for make spin yarn and then we able to make clothes for people's.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You identify the process as beginning with planting and ending with clothing, and include several central stages, such as cutting, crushing, filtering, softening, spinning and weaving. However, some details are inaccurate or unclear: the diagram says the fibres are softened by adding water and amine oxide, not “water or amine oxide,” and the filtering stage separates long fibres from liquid. The overview is also weakened by the conclusion’s vague summary of “some water and chemicals” and does not clearly describe the process as a sequence from growing bamboo to finished garments. To strengthen the response, report each stage accurately and give a concise overview of the main transformation from plant to fabric and clothing.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a broadly logical order and is divided into paragraphs, with sequencing phrases such as “To begin with,” “After that,” and “At the end.” This makes the general movement from planting towards finished clothes understandable. However, cohesion is sometimes mechanical, and several sentences repeat or interrupt the sequence: “The liquide separate for long fiber” is followed by “In addition, they filter to separate long fiber,” which describes the same stage twice. References such as “they” and “weave” are not always clear, and the final “To conclude” repeats earlier information rather than providing a distinct overview. Grouping the stages more cleanly and using precise links between them would improve progression.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant process vocabulary, including “harvested,” “strips,” “pulp,” “fiber,” “yarn,” and “weave,” so the reader can recognise many stages. However, the range is limited and several word choices or spellings make the description less clear, including “liquide,” “pecies,” “spin role,” and “cutting blade.” Some phrases are also imprecise for this process: “soften fibers collect” and “chemicals” do not clearly name the action or material shown. Aim to use accurate process terms consistently, and check spelling and collocations. For example, describe the fibres being softened, yarn being spun, and fabric being woven rather than relying on vague or awkward phrases.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
You attempt both simple and longer sentences, and the sequence is generally recoverable, but grammatical control is uneven. Errors in agreement and verb forms appear in “The diagram illustrate,” “the bamboo are planted,” and “the farmers has harvested.” The construction “After harvested the bamboo collected” is also missing the grammatical links needed to show who harvests and what happens next. Articles and sentence boundaries need attention as well; for instance, “Make a spin role to make yarn” is a fragment rather than a complete process sentence. Practise forming clear passive sentences for process descriptions, such as “The bamboo is harvested” and “The strips are crushed,” while varying sentence structures carefully.
