Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You identify the process as beginning with bamboo and ending in clothing, and you include several key stages, such as planting in spring, harvesting in autumn, crushing the strips into pulp, and adding water and amine oxide. However, the overview is unclear and internally inconsistent: it says there are nine steps but then refers to “seven different main stage.” Some stages are also misreported or omitted. The diagram shows bamboo being harvested, then cut into strips; your wording suggests the harvesting itself involves cutting it “down” and later cutting it “by strips.” You mention fabric but do not clearly report the final step, where the fabric is made into clothing items. A clearer overview and more accurate, complete description of the sequence would strengthen the response.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has an overall chronological structure, with an opening, an overview, and paragraphs describing the stages. Sequencing expressions such as “At the first stage,” “After that,” and “Finally” help the reader follow the process. However, progression is weakened by unclear links between actions: “then take it to the strips” does not explain the transition, and “At the following stage soften fibers need to spin” makes the relationship between softening and spinning difficult to follow. The overview also contains confusing punctuation and repeated information. Organise the stages into clear sentences, use consistent references to the material at each point, and ensure each linking phrase accurately signals the next step.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use some relevant process vocabulary, including “liquid pulp,” “filtered,” “amine oxide,” “fiber,” “yarn,” and “fabric,” which shows an attempt to describe the manufacturing stages. However, the range is limited and several word choices or forms are inaccurate, sometimes making the process hard to understand. For example, “take it to the strips” and “give it to the waved” do not express the intended actions clearly; “clooth” is also misspelled, and “infarestructure” is not appropriate for this diagram. Repeated use of “stage,” “step,” and “process” adds little precision. Build a more accurate set of verbs for each action, such as cut, crush, filter, soften, spin, weave, and produce, and check spelling and collocations.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
There is an attempt to use both simple sentences and longer sequences, but control of sentence structure is weak, and errors frequently obscure relationships between stages. Examples include “OverallIt is clear that the, The manufacturing process … consist nine,” which has faulty punctuation, agreement, and sentence construction, and “At the first stage of the process to plant bamboo,” which lacks a complete main clause. Verb forms are also problematic in “farmer should cuted down” and “soften fibers need to spin.” Articles, plurals, and prepositions are often missing or incorrectly used. Aim first for accurate simple sentences with a clear subject and verb, then connect them with a limited range of correctly formed clauses.
