Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
Write at least 150 words.
Student answer (Band 5.5)
The pictorial picture illustrates the process of fabric is made from bamboo through a main nine steps.
overall, it is visible that the first step start with farm land where a bamboo plants harvest then go for becoming soft by crush , filter and add some items then last it give proper structure according our necessary products such as clothes and socks etc.
A glance at the flow picture revels that the first farmers harvest bamboo from farm land further bamboo cut into strips this mainly because is help to next step which is strips replace with liquid pulp. Consequently, a liquid from bamboo need to filter therefore it separate long fiber from liquid then after time to make soft which happen through adding water and amine oxide chemical.
Further , the steps about how make structure or shape from yarn, the start with soften fiber spin machines to become yarn and then after it go for weave which give structure of fabric and the last as result replace shirt and other fabric products.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You identify the process as having nine stages and describe its broad movement from bamboo to fabric and finished products. Several key details are included, such as cutting the bamboo into strips, crushing it into pulp, filtering the fibres, adding water and amine oxide, and then spinning and weaving. However, the overview is unclear and contains a factual sequencing error: planting occurs in spring before harvesting in autumn, whereas you write that the process starts with harvesting. The final stage is also described imprecisely as producing a “shirt and other fabric products”; the diagram shows clothing, including a T-shirt and socks. To strengthen the response, give a concise, accurate overview of the full sequence and distinguish the growing and harvesting stages from the later manufacturing stages.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has an overall structure, with an opening, an overview, and two paragraphs describing successive parts of the process. The stages are generally presented in a sensible order, and connectors such as “Consequently,” “therefore,” and “then” help signal progression. However, some links are mechanical or unclear: “further bamboo cut into strips” and “then after time to make soft” do not clearly show how one stage leads to the next. The overview also combines several stages in a long, difficult-to-follow sentence. Use clearer paragraph focus and more precise references—for example, “After the bamboo is harvested, it is cut into strips”—so the reader can follow the sequence without having to infer connections.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use relevant process vocabulary, including “harvest,” “strips,” “liquid pulp,” “filter,” “long fiber,” “yarn,” and “weave,” which allows you to cover the main stages. There are also attempts at more specific language, such as “amine oxide.” However, several word choices and collocations are inaccurate or unnatural, including “pictorial picture,” “becoming soft by crush,” “replace with liquid pulp,” and “give proper structure.” These choices sometimes make the intended meaning less precise. Aim for standard process descriptions such as “the strips are crushed to form pulp,” “the fibres are softened,” and “the yarn is woven into fabric.” Check spelling and word forms consistently, including “reveals” and “fibres.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and longer sentences, and the response includes some sequencing clauses, such as “which happen through adding water and amine oxide chemical.” However, control of sentence structure and verb forms is uneven. Examples include “the process of fabric is made,” “the first step start,” and “a bamboo plants harvest,” where clause construction, agreement, or verb form is faulty. Articles and plurals are also inconsistent, as in “a bamboo plants” and “amine oxide chemical.” These errors sometimes make relationships between stages difficult to understand. Practise forming clear passive sentences for processes—for example, “The bamboo is harvested in autumn and cut into strips”—and check subject–verb agreement, articles, and punctuation when combining ideas.
