Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Write at least 150 words.

Student answer (Band 5.5)

The given image illustrates the full process of fabic making from bamboo in different steps.

In an overview, it is crystral clear that before the final outcome of fabric, the bamboo go through various stages.

Lookin from the step one, which is planting the bamboo in the Spring season. Afterthat, the harvest is done in the Autumn. The next stage of this process to cutt it into strips, which is crushed in the later step for making the luquid pulp. However, in the fifth point, the process goes though the Filter, inwhich, the long fibre is seperated from liquid.

Moving Further, in order to soften the fiber water and amino oxide is edded into it. Afterthat, the soften fabric is spinned to make the yam. The last second stage is making the fabric from yam which is called weave and in the end of the process the weaves is converted into the clothes such as T-shirt and Socks.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You cover the main sequence from planting and autumn harvesting through processing, weaving and finished clothing, and the seasonal details and separation of long fibres are accurately reported. However, the overview is vague: “the bamboo go through various stages” does not identify the key transformation from plant material into yarn, fabric and garments. Some stage descriptions are also unclear or inaccurate, particularly “the soften fabric is spinned,” since it is the softened fibres that are spun into yarn. The response therefore presents relevant information but does not consistently select and explain the process features clearly. Make the overview more specific and describe each transformation precisely to strengthen the report.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The stages are generally presented in the correct order, and phrases such as “Afterthat,” “Moving Further” and “in the end” help signal progression. The response also attempts to group the process into an opening overview and a sequence of details. However, the paragraphing and progression are limited, and several transitions feel mechanical or do not clearly connect the ideas. For example, “The last second stage” is confusing, while “However” does not express a contrast between crushing and filtering. Some sentences run together without adequate spacing or punctuation, making the sequence harder to follow. Use clearer paragraphing and straightforward links such as “Next” and “Finally,” ensuring each transition reflects the relationship between stages.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use relevant process vocabulary, including “harvest,” “strips,” “liquid pulp,” “fibre,” “weave” and “converted,” which allows the reader to recognise most stages. However, spelling errors are frequent, including “fabic,” “crystral,” “Lookin,” “luquid,” “seperated” and “yam.” Some word choices or collocations are also inaccurate: “the soften fabric” misidentifies the material, and “the weaves is converted” is not a natural description of the final stage. These errors make parts of the account less clear and show that vocabulary control is not yet consistent. Check spelling carefully and use precise process terms, especially “fibres,” “yarn,” “fabric” and “garments.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

The response attempts some longer structures, such as “in order to soften the fiber water and amino oxide is edded into it,” and uses sequencing clauses to connect stages. However, the range is limited, and complex sentences are often faulty. The opening fragment, “Lookin from the step one,” is not a complete sentence; “the bamboo go through” has incorrect subject–verb agreement; and “the process to cutt it into strips” lacks a correctly formed verb construction. There are also errors in articles, plurals and sentence boundaries, as in “the harvest is done” and “the weaves is converted.” Build mostly complete, controlled sentences first, then add subordinate clauses while checking agreement and punctuation.
