Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You identify the broad subject and mention several relevant stages, including cutting bamboo, processing it into pulp, filtering, and producing fabric and clothing. However, the account only partially reports the diagram: it omits the planting in spring and harvesting in autumn, and it reverses the order of crushing and filtering. The diagram shows strips being crushed into liquid pulp before the liquid is filtered, then the fibres are softened with water and amine oxide. Your statement that bamboo is grown “in jungle” and the comments about personal use and using plants correctly are not supported by the process diagram. A clearer overview of the sequence, followed by accurate details for each stage, would make the response more complete and focused.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a basic progression, using “Firstly,” “Then,” “Furthermore,” and “To conclude” to signal movement through the process. Paragraph breaks also separate the opening, process description, and conclusion. However, the sequence is not consistently clear: “After cutting them” is repeated, and the order of filtering and making pulp is confusing. Some references, such as “it,” “them,” and “all this process,” do not clearly identify the material being discussed. The conclusion shifts from describing manufacture to general advice about plants, which weakens the overall progression. Organise the stages in the diagram’s exact order and use clearer links and references between them.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some task-related vocabulary, including “strips,” “pulp,” “filters,” “fabric,” and “clothes,” so the reader can recognise the general topic. However, the range is limited and several word choices or spellings make the process difficult to follow, such as “bitting,” “flters,” “seperate,” and “sokes.” Some phrases are also imprecise or unnatural, including “make them clean” and “make spin.” Use the diagram’s specific terms, such as “crush,” “filter,” “soften the fibres,” “spin the fibres into yarn,” and “weave the yarn into fabric.” More accurate process vocabulary and careful spelling would improve clarity.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The response attempts to connect ideas in longer sentences, for example, “After mixing these things in these strips we use filters…,” but control is inconsistent and most sentence patterns are simple or joined with “and.” Errors in verb forms and sentence construction occur throughout: “This whole picture show” should be “This whole picture shows,” while “we made spin” does not form a clear grammatical clause. There are also problems with articles, agreement, and punctuation, as in “There are number of bamboo plans in jungle” and the missing spaces after full stops. These errors sometimes make the process hard to understand. Practise accurate simple sentences first, then add controlled clauses to describe stages and their results.
