Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You cover the main stages from planting and autumn harvesting through processing, spinning, weaving and making finished items, and your overview identifies the nine-stage sequence and its beginning and end. Most processing details are included, such as crushing the strips into pulp, filtering fibres and softening them with water and amine oxide. However, some details are inaccurate or unclear: the diagram shows a T-shirt and socks, not shoes, and it does not say the bamboo is cleaned, harvested by a traditional method, or that the products are ready for marketing. The overview could also better summarise the transformation from raw bamboo into fabric and clothing. More precise reporting of the final stage and removal of unsupported details would strengthen the response.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a clear overall arrangement: an introduction and overview are followed by the early processing stages and then the final stages. Sequencing words such as “Afterwards,” “In the next stage,” and “In the final stage” help the reader follow the process. However, these links are somewhat repetitive and occasionally make the progression feel mechanical. Some references are also unclear, as in “which is clean the bamboo” and “then it make different kinds of product,” where it is not immediately clear what “which” or “it” refers to. Grouping the stages more cleanly and using precise references—for example, “the resulting pulp” or “the softened fibres”—would make the progression smoother and easier to follow.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use relevant process vocabulary, including “harvested,” “strips,” “liquid pulp,” “fibres,” “spin,” and “weave,” so the reader can identify most stages. However, the range and control are limited by repeated use of “bamboo” and imprecise or incorrect word choices. “Yam” appears to be a misspelling of “yarn,” while “softed” and “mathod” are also spelling or word-form errors. Phrases such as “plant bamboo at the local field” and “bamboo yam make for fabric” are not natural collocations. Aim for accurate process terms and vary references where possible, such as “the stalks,” “the pulp,” and “the fibres.” This would make the description clearer and more precise.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a relative clause in “the bamboo cut into strips, which is clean the bamboo,” and the stages are generally understandable. However, some errors in verb forms, articles and sentence construction reduce accuracy. For example, “how to step by step manufactured” needs a grammatical structure such as “how fabric is manufactured step by step,” while “the bamboo harvested” and “the bamboo crush strips” are missing correctly formed passive verbs. There are also problems with agreement and infinitives in “it make” and “ends with create.” Use consistent present simple passive forms for the process, such as “the bamboo is harvested” and “the fibres are softened,” and check sentence boundaries and capitalization.
