Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You identify the process as beginning with planting in spring and harvesting in autumn, then cover the main conversion stages through to fabric and clothing. This gives the reader a broadly relevant account. However, the response does not provide a clear overview of the process as a whole, and some stages are compressed or unclear: for example, “it will filter and separate long fiber from liquid does it soften fibres” does not clearly distinguish filtering from softening. The final claim that the products are winter clothes because they are “soft and warm” is not stated in the diagram; it shows a T-shirt and socks, but gives no season or reason for their use. A concise overview and closer reporting of only the information shown would make the summary more complete.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response follows the broad sequence from planting to finished products, and the paragraph breaks separate the opening from the process description. However, progression is difficult to follow because several stages are packed into one long sentence, particularly the account from crushing through softening. Linking expressions such as “after that” and “furthermore” are used, but they do not consistently clarify the relationship between steps; “does it soften” is especially confusing. The opening also repeats “The diagram” without establishing a useful overview. Organise the stages into clearer sections or sentences, and use sequence markers such as “Next,” “Following this,” and “Finally” accurately. This would improve the overall flow and make the sequence easier to track.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant process vocabulary, including “harvested,” “strips,” “liquid pulp,” “fibres,” “yarn,” and “weave,” which helps communicate the main stages. However, the range is limited and several spelling and word-choice errors make parts of the account harder to understand, such as “crushinng maching,” “elistrate,” and “prepraing.” Some expressions are also imprecise or unsuitable for a process description, including “send for weave” and “in different house holds.” Aim for accurate process collocations, such as “the yarn is woven into fabric” and “the finished fabric is used to make clothing.” Check spelling carefully and avoid adding unsupported descriptions such as “winter clothes” when the diagram does not specify this.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
The response attempts to connect several stages in longer sentences, but control is inconsistent and errors often make relationships between steps unclear. For example, “The diagram demonstrates that how fabric is manufactured” has an incorrect clause structure, while “The diagram helpfull” lacks correct subject–verb agreement and a complete grammatical form. In the process sentence, “it will filter … does it soften” shifts between forms and does not form a clear sequence. Articles, plurals, and sentence boundaries are also unreliable. Use a consistent present simple passive for the process—for example, “The strips are crushed to produce pulp, which is then filtered”—and separate each major stage into a complete sentence. This will improve accuracy while allowing you to show a wider range of structures.
