Student answer (Band 5.0)

Yes, the people how they dress up today was influenced by the global fashion trends also the global fashion become such a strong influence on peoples life.

Overall - I agree the statement but I think the influence of global fashion trends have both aspects positive and negative. The dressing was the first impression of everyone so if you are confident and comfortable while dressing it would be a positive aspect until it is not affecting anyone some dresses are influenced by global fashions but when we wear them we would feel underconfident or uncomfortable.

Positive aspects are suppose there is a wedding in a family and they fixed a dress code as per event this is a one time celebration event for that family that dress code make the moment more aesthetic and memorable at the same time . If we take the example of school dress it was also influenced but the dress makes all students looks similar there would be no discrimation amongs antyhing even in India every state have their religious outfits which shows their culture their native language and much more.

Negative aspects are suppose the example i given was of a wedding but the guest doesnt have a dress of the same code it will rent a dress and wear it. This was a negative aspect of the same example cause it was not his/her when he wear the dress he will be underconfident cause if anything would be happend it can get more expensive for him.

Global fashion trends can't define it would be positive on negative development the fashion which influenced the person and his/her situation can define the positive and negative aspects

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You give a view that fashion trends can have both positive and negative effects, and you include examples involving wedding dress codes, school uniforms and traditional clothing in India. These examples are relevant, but the response only partially answers the question because it does not explain how global fashion became such a strong influence—for example, through social media, advertising or international brands. The positive and negative effects are also not developed clearly: the wedding example focuses on the cost and discomfort of renting clothes rather than explaining broader effects of global trends. Your position is present, but the final claim that the effect depends on the person and situation leaves your overall judgement unclear. Develop both parts of the prompt and support a consistent view with specific explanation.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The response has a basic paragraph structure, with an introduction, separate paragraphs for positive and negative aspects, and a concluding statement. This helps the reader identify the main sections. However, there is no clear progression from explaining the causes of global fashion’s influence to evaluating its effects, and the opening largely repeats the prompt. Connections between ideas are sometimes unclear: the discussion moves from wedding clothing to school uniforms and then to Indian religious outfits without explaining how each example supports the point about global trends. Linking phrases such as “Overall,” “Positive aspects” and “Negative aspects” are used, but the organisation remains repetitive and some references, such as “the example I given,” are difficult to follow. Plan a sequence that directly answers each question and make the relationship between examples explicit.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use some relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “global fashion trends,” “dress code,” “underconfident,” “religious outfits” and “culture.” This gives you enough language to communicate the general subject and attempt distinctions between positive and negative effects. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate or unclear, such as “make the moment more aesthetic,” “it will rent a dress,” and “the fashion which influenced the person.” Spelling and word-form errors, including “discrimation” and “happend,” also reduce precision. Try to use more natural expressions for the ideas you want to convey, such as “create a sense of occasion,” “rent an outfit,” and “fashion trends that influence individuals.” This would make your examples easier to understand.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and longer sentences, including conditional structures such as “if you are confident and comfortable while dressing” and “if anything would be happend.” This shows an effort to express conditions and explain consequences. However, complex sentences are often faulty, and frequent errors in verb forms, agreement, articles and sentence construction can make the meaning difficult to follow. For example, “the global fashion become” needs a correctly formed verb, while “the dress makes all students looks similar” has an agreement error. Several sentences also run together or lack clear punctuation, particularly in the paragraph about Indian clothing. Practise building accurate sentences with one main idea each, then combine them using reliable clauses and conjunctions. Check subject–verb agreement and verb tense before submitting.
