Student answer (Band 6.0)
It is true that nowadays, trending global fashion has significant impact on people's dressing sense and lives. There are several reasons behind the development of influence by internation fashion trend. Though this has some negative outcomes, in my way of thinking, the positives far outweigh them.
International fashion trend has greater impact on the lives of people than ever before. One of the major reasons behind this is the accessability of the fashion trend. Easy availabilty of internet nowadays has enabled people to access medias such online portals, social media platforms and internet protocol based tv channels that can promote fashion trend beyond local boundaries. With the help of easy access to these trend people come to about the fashion trends that derive from foreign culture. For example, wearing gown by the bride in wedding is a common trend in the Europe while sharee is common among south-asian brides. By dint of the spread of the European fashion trend nowadays south-asian women are influenced and more brides from indian subcontinent are choosing gown as their wedding attire. This is how global fashion influences people's priority on choosing their dresses in different social occasions.
On the negative side, the spread of global fashion does intrude local culture, manners and the way of dressing. For example, if the trend of wearing gown keeps gaining popularity in the Indian subcontinent, one day the long tradition of wearing sharee in wedding may get abolished. By contrast, spread of global fashion trend does have some notable impact on global econoimy. It not only creates a vast market of european clothings in South Asia but it opens up an opportunity to make great demand for south-asian attires like lehenga and panjabi in the Europen, American market.
In conclusion, global fashion trend is influencing our day-to-day life more positively than ever.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
You address both parts of the prompt: you explain the influence of online media and state that the benefits outweigh the drawbacks. The example contrasting wedding gowns and saris makes the mechanism of cultural influence concrete, and your discussion of markets for European and South Asian clothing adds a relevant economic benefit. This meets the task well, with some elements showing the fuller development expected at the next level. However, the positive position is not consistently supported: the economic point is introduced as a contrast but its benefit to people’s lives is only briefly explained, and the conclusion simply repeats your view. Develop this point by showing who benefits and how, and explain more fully why cultural change is outweighed by those benefits.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a clear overall arrangement: an introduction, a paragraph explaining how trends spread, a paragraph considering drawbacks and economic effects, and a conclusion. The example about bridal clothing follows logically from the discussion of online access, while phrases such as “On the negative side” and “By contrast” help signal shifts. At times, however, the links between ideas are not fully clear. “By contrast” does not establish a clear contrast between cultural loss and economic benefits, and the second body paragraph moves quickly from a possible cultural consequence to market opportunities. The conclusion is also very brief and does not draw the main points together. Use more precise transitions and develop each paragraph around a clearer central point.
Lexical Resource: Band 6.0
You use an adequate range for the topic, including phrases such as “local culture,” “wedding attire,” “social occasions,” and “vast market.” These choices help communicate ideas about fashion, culture, and commerce, and you attempt some less common expressions. However, several word-choice and spelling problems reduce precision: “accessability” and “availabilty” are misspelled, “come to about” is not a natural expression, and “fashion trend” is repeated where “fashion trends” or “global styles” would be more appropriate. Some collocations, including “impact on global economy,” also need more natural phrasing. Aim for accurate, idiomatic combinations and check spelling carefully; this will make your vocabulary more flexible and convincing.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 6.0
You use a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, including a concession in “Though this has some negative outcomes” and a conditional sentence about the possible loss of sari traditions. Most ideas remain understandable, and the longer sentences generally communicate their intended meaning. Some grammatical errors persist, however. For example, “has significant impact” needs an article, “enabled people to access medias” has an incorrect plural form, and “With the help of easy access to these trend” has problems with number and sentence construction. The final sentence of the first body paragraph also shifts awkwardly into “This is how…” after a long explanation. Review articles, singular and plural agreement, and sentence boundaries, while continuing to practise complex structures.
