Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You address both parts of the question: social media and interest in other cultures are given as reasons for global fashion’s influence, and you state that you consider this a positive development. The examples of celebrities and Garba clothing help make the explanations relevant. However, the positive judgement is only stated in the introduction; the body paragraphs explain how trends spread rather than why this influence benefits people. The conclusion also repeats the causes without returning to your view. Develop the evaluation with a clear reason, such as cultural exchange or greater choice, and explain how it affects people. This would make your position and supporting ideas more fully developed.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs addressing separate causes, and a conclusion. Sequencing expressions such as “First and foremost,” “Moreover,” and “To sum up” help signal these stages. Within paragraphs, however, ideas sometimes run together, particularly in the first body paragraph, where the explanation moves from internet use to imitation and then to worldwide spread in one long sentence. Some links are also mechanical, and the conclusion does not clearly connect back to the positive position. Use shorter, clearly punctuated sentences and make each paragraph’s progression explicit: state the cause, explain its effect, then connect it to your evaluation.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “global fashion trends,” “social media,” “cultural,” and “internationally famous,” and the examples show an attempt to discuss specific clothing traditions. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate, sometimes making meaning less clear: “global people dressed,” “dressing sense,” and “influenced so many people … to dree like that.” Spelling errors such as “inconic,” “motiveted,” and “easilly” also reduce accuracy. Build a more precise set of phrases for describing influence and cultural exchange, and check spelling and word forms carefully. More accurate collocations would make your ideas easier to follow.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including explanations with “because” and a relative clause beginning “who try new clothing style.” However, complex sentences are often faulty or difficult to follow, and there are frequent problems with agreement, articles, verb forms, and sentence boundaries. For example, “Certain style … are motivated” has a singular–plural mismatch, while “this type of style will be influenced other people” has an incorrect verb pattern. The first body paragraph also contains a run-on sentence. Practise building accurate sentences with one main idea at a time, then add subordinate clauses only when their structure is secure. Check subject–verb agreement and punctuation during revision.
