Student answer (Band 5.0)
Many people today are influenced by global fashion trends, however the global clothing become a major affect on peoples lives because of social media, celebrities, movie stars, online promotion of trending dresses who inspire especially youngsters, morever it has many negative impact on environment such as poor peoples who are unable to purchase these type of trending dresses for itself.
Global fashion has a significant effect on peoples because when people see these type of fashion on social media more people want to buy these type of clothes. Secondly, when people see movie stars like celebrities and follow the same dressing like if, anyone see the film star to wear any dress then they will want to purchase the same clothes for itself, in adittion one of the major reason is online advertisement or online adds of brand new outfit they can encourage peoples to buy these clothes.
When you talk about my prespective, i would like to say that it has negitive development more than positive development because when any poor people see the trending clothes of another person they want to buy the same thing, however they are unable to buy the same clothes, the reason behind this is because they do not have a enough money to buy the same cloth. Another reason is because peoples would not wear the c;othes that they actually like to wear, they only follow trend and fashion.
In assence, many people would like to wear global fashion dresses, the reason behind this is social media, famous celebrities, online adds etc, but they have both positive and negetive impact on peoples lives.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You address both parts of the question: you identify social media, celebrities, films and online advertising as reasons global fashion spreads, and you state that you see it as a negative development. These points are relevant, but the response only partly develops them. For example, you say that people may feel unable to afford fashionable clothes, but do not explain the wider consequences or support the point with a specific example. The claim that people “only follow trend and fashion” also needs clarification, and the negative effects are more fully discussed than any possible benefits. To strengthen the response, explain how each influence works and develop your position with clearer reasoning and examples.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The response has a recognisable structure: an opening, a paragraph about the causes, a paragraph giving your view, and a conclusion. This helps the reader identify the main topics. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes unclear, and several ideas are joined into long sentences, particularly in the opening and the paragraph about celebrities and advertising. Linking expressions such as “Secondly,” “however” and “In essence” are used, but some connections feel mechanical or do not clearly show how one point follows from another. Repetition of “these type of clothes” and “same clothes” also makes the discussion less cohesive. Use shorter, more focused sentences and organise each paragraph around one main idea, with clear explanation and support.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “global fashion trends,” “social media,” “online advertisement” and “trending clothes,” so the main ideas are generally understandable. However, the range is limited and several words or phrases are repeated, especially “clothes,” “people” and “buy.” There are also noticeable errors in word choice, collocation and spelling, such as “a major affect,” “online adds,” “negitive” and “in assence.” Some expressions, including “for itself” and “same dressing,” are not natural in this context and may make the reader pause. Build a wider set of accurate phrases for describing influence, affordability and consumer behaviour, and check spelling and word forms carefully.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including clauses introduced by “because,” “when” and “however.” This allows you to express causes and contrast, but complex sentences are often faulty or difficult to follow. For example, “when people see movie stars like celebrities and follow the same dressing like if…” contains an unclear structure, while “they do not have a enough money” has an article error. There are also recurring problems with agreement and sentence boundaries, as in “it has many negative impact,” and punctuation around “however” is not consistently controlled. Practise building one clear main clause at a time, then add subordinate clauses accurately; check articles, plurals and agreement when editing.
