Student answer (Band 5.5)
Different varaities of the way people dress today is because of the influence of global fashion trends.
Clothing is one of the basic needs of man so global fashion became a strong influence on peoples lives. Regardless that this can bring negative developement like improper hierachy amongs the civilians which can lead to bad goverment, negleting other basic needs which can make youths spend most of thier finances on clothes and causing poor financial background for youths. I think that there are positive developements for this influence. Good image in the society is one of the main reason for positive development in global fashion. A man that dresses decent can easily be known as an honest man and can be respected just because he dressed decent and clean. A man that is well dressed brings out a good name in the society.
Another reason for global fashion to be a positive developement is good employment. Global fashion has a strong influence on granting good employments. A man that is well dressed can easily get a well paid job and can be offered opportunities because of his dress code. Trust is another good reason why global fashion can cause positive development, a well dressed civilian can easily be trusted because his image and appearance can show that he is an honest person which bring about peace and unity in the society if there are many people like that.
In conclusion, global fashion today have influenced the way many people dress and with the points given i believe that the influence has a positive developement in the society.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You give a clear overall view that global fashion is a positive development, and you offer relevant points about social image, employment and trust. However, the task asks both how global fashion became so influential and whether this is positive or negative. Most of your response argues for its benefits, while the explanation of how it gained influence is largely missing; the opening only says clothing is a basic need. The negative effects are also briefly mentioned but not explained, and some claims—such as dressing well leading to honesty or peace—need clearer reasoning or examples. To strengthen the response, explain drivers such as social media, advertising or international brands, then develop and support your evaluation with specific examples.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion. The second body paragraph groups employment and trust together, and the conclusion restates your positive position. However, progression is limited because the first body paragraph moves from negative effects to positive effects without a clear transition or sustained focus. The ideas about image, respect and a good name also overlap, while the repeated openings “Another reason” and “A man that…” make the linking feel mechanical. Some connections are difficult to follow, particularly the link between fashion and “bad government.” Organise each paragraph around one main point, use clearer transitions between contrasting views, and explain how each example supports the central argument.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some task-related vocabulary, including “global fashion trends,” “dress code,” “employment,” “appearance” and “financial background,” so the main topic is generally clear. However, the range is limited and several words or phrases are repeated, especially “positive development,” “well dressed” and “society.” There are also noticeable spelling and word-choice problems, such as “varaities,” “developement,” “hierachy,” “amongst” (written as “amongs”), and “civilians” where “people” would be more natural. Some collocations are awkward, including “granting good employments” and “a good name in the society.” Build a more precise range for discussing causes and effects, and check spelling and natural word combinations when editing.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and longer sentences, including a sentence beginning “Regardless that this can bring negative…” and a relative clause in “A man that dresses decent…”. However, complex structures are often faulty, and errors occur frequently enough to make some sentences difficult to process. For example, “Different varieties … is” has a subject–verb agreement problem, while “global fashion today have influenced” also has incorrect agreement. In “A man that dresses decent,” the adjective form is needed after the verb, and “which bring about” does not agree with its subject. Sentence boundaries and clause connections also need attention, particularly in the long sentence listing negative effects. Practise accurate agreement and build complex sentences in shorter, clearly controlled clauses.
