Student answer (Band 6.0)
In today's fast-paced world, technological advancements and globalisation have increasing in fashion and the way people dress. Modern fashion style around the world influence people in various ways, their outfit choices, wardrobe preferences, etc. I firmly believe that there are several disadvantages of this development, but the positive development has outweigh the negative one.
On the one hand, global fashion become popular with globalisation. there are several negative impact of the global fashion trends. Mostly in young generation, they may feel anxious about appearance and feel pressured about fashion. They spent lot of money for being in a fashion trend, it creates unnecessary consumerism and financial pressure on them. Youngster may loose interest in traditional clothing, it also affects cultural identity.
On the other hand, there are significant positive development of global fashion. I believe global fashion brings more significant benefits. Individual can explore cultures and clothing styles from around the world. Mostly people can experiment the appearance and develop their own sense of style. Global fashion has made more accessible of by offering a wider variety of designs, materials and price ranges. People are no longer restricted to fashion trends of their own countries and can choose outfit that reflect their personalities and preferences. It also creates employment opportunities for designers, models, retailers, online vendor, they are contribute to economic growth.
In conclusion, global fashion creates unnecessary spreading, affect traditional clothing practices. However, countries are not restricted for personal choice, thus it gives us greater cultural exposure, individual creativity, It balance between modern fashion and values

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address both parts of the prompt: you identify globalisation as a reason fashion spreads and discuss both disadvantages and benefits. Your position is that the benefits outweigh the drawbacks, stated in the introduction and reinforced in the conclusion. Relevant points include pressure on young people to spend and the effects on cultural identity, alongside cultural exposure, personal expression and employment. However, the explanation of how global fashion became influential is brief; globalisation is named but not clearly linked to mechanisms such as social media, online shopping or international brands. Some supporting ideas are also under-developed, particularly the employment point, and the conclusion’s claim that fashion creates “unnecessary spreading” is unclear. Develop the causes and examples more fully and make the final judgement precise.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a clear overall structure, with an introduction, separate paragraphs for disadvantages and advantages, and a conclusion. The contrast signposts “On the one hand” and “On the other hand” help readers follow the discussion, and the ideas within each body paragraph are generally grouped by topic. This meets the lower-band expectation of coherent arrangement and shows some of the stronger progression expected at the next level. However, links between individual claims are sometimes abrupt: for example, the move from cultural exploration to employment opportunities is not explained, and the conclusion does not clearly synthesise the two sides. Some transitions, such as “Mostly,” are imprecise, while the final sentence strings together several points without clear relationships. Use more precise linking and refer back clearly to the main argument.
Lexical Resource: Band 6.0
You use an adequate range of topic vocabulary, including “globalisation,” “consumerism,” “cultural identity,” “wardrobe preferences” and “employment opportunities.” These choices allow you to discuss both personal and social effects, and the meaning is generally understandable. There are also attempts at more specific phrasing, such as “a wider variety of designs, materials and price ranges.” However, some word choices and collocations are inaccurate or awkward, including “global fashion creates unnecessary spreading,” “made more accessible of,” and “they are contribute to economic growth.” Spelling and word-form slips such as “loose” for “lose” and “youngster” where a plural is needed also reduce precision. Aim for natural collocations and check word forms; this will make your ideas clearer without requiring more complicated vocabulary.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a contrastive opening and clauses such as “People are no longer restricted to fashion trends of their own countries and can choose outfit that reflect their personalities.” The main ideas remain understandable, but some grammatical errors occur across the response. Examples include “globalisation have increasing,” where the verb form and agreement are incorrect, and “Modern fashion style … influence,” where the subject and verb do not agree. Articles and plurals are also inconsistent, as in “a fashion trend” and “choose outfit,” while the final sentence contains a comma splice and an incomplete construction: “It balance between modern fashion and values.” Work on subject–verb agreement, verb forms, articles and sentence boundaries, then proofread each sentence for a complete grammatical structure.
