Student answer (Band 5.0)

Most of the individuals who dressed today are influenced by worlds fashion trends. Nowadays every person try to dressed more perfect than others to enhance their beauty.

I strongly believed that it is a positive development because 80 perecent of masses dressed well as compared to the ancient people. Every state has its own dress code according to their culture.

To commence with, abundant of people are impressed by global fashion trends. Every person has internet and technology like mobile phones and laptops etc. On every other day, a new fashion trend pop up on the apps like instagram or snapchat. Masses inspired by their clothing and the way they carry dresses.

To illustrate with, many years ago, a bridal compaign walk was demonstrating on the Hum tv channel. I was watching with my few friends and many of them inspired by their dresses. Even sparse of them has sketched the designs that how they will make the dresses on their own wedding. Some designs are of the American designer and some designs are of the UK designer.

On the other hand, worlds fashion is now trending in every individual life. Every state has its own dress code according to their culture. Pakistanis dress code is shalwar kameez but many people wear different dresses like ladies wear skirts and pants while mens wear three piece coat sets. This is just because of global fashion trends.

For instance, my young sister was having a function in her school and their dress theme was mini skirts with crop tops and they have to perform on english song.

In conclusion, i will agreed that its a positive change towards society to represent themselves well dressed among others.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You give a clear overall view that global fashion is a positive development, and your examples about social media, the bridal programme and your sister’s school event are relevant to how trends spread and affect clothing choices. However, the response only partly develops both questions. The influence of the internet and television is explained, but the discussion of why these trends have become so powerful could be more specific—for example, by explaining how influencers, advertising or international brands reach large audiences. Your positive judgement is mainly supported by people dressing well and representing themselves, while possible drawbacks or a fuller explanation of the benefits are not considered. Develop each main point with a clear explanation and a directly relevant example.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The response has an introduction, separate body paragraphs and a conclusion, so the reader can identify its main sections. You also use signposts such as “To commence with,” “On the other hand” and “In conclusion.” However, the overall progression is not always clear: the paragraph beginning “On the other hand” does not present a contrasting point, but continues explaining the influence of global fashion. Ideas within paragraphs sometimes move abruptly, and repeated statements about each state having its own dress code do not advance the argument. Some linking phrases feel mechanical, while references such as “they” in the school-event example are not fully clear. Organise the body around distinct reasons and use transitions that accurately show how each idea relates to the previous one.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “global fashion trends,” “dress code,” “designs” and “crop tops,” and the examples make the subject clear. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are noticeably inaccurate, sometimes making the reader pause. Examples include “worlds fashion,” “abundant of people,” “bridal compaign walk” and “sparse of them”; these do not express the intended meanings naturally. Repetition of “person,” “dresses” and “fashion trends” also limits variety. Aim to learn common collocations for describing influence and clothing, and check spelling and word forms. More precise choices such as “fashion show,” “many people” and “were inspired by” would make the ideas easier to follow.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and longer sentences, including a relative clause in “the designs that how they will make the dresses,” but control is inconsistent and errors occur frequently. Verb forms and agreement are recurring problems: “every person try,” “I strongly believed,” “masses inspired” and “I will agreed” need more accurate forms. Infinitives and verb patterns are also faulty in “try to dressed,” while sentence construction in “they have to perform on english song” is difficult to follow. Capitalisation and punctuation are inconsistent, including lowercase “i” and long sentences joined without clear punctuation. Practise building accurate simple sentences first, then add subordinate clauses, checking subject–verb agreement, tense and articles in each sentence.
