Student answer (Band 5.5)

Nowadays, people are so obssesed with global fashion because their lifestyle have changed with time also they love to go with trends . I strongly believe that it has a positive impact on economic of a country but also creats a negative impact on socail life.

There are many reasons why global fashion has become such a strong influence on people's life. Firstly, their lifestyle has changed . As individuals try to income more so that they can affort these kinds of trendy attire. Rich people are more likely to follow international style. Secondly, technology has been a part of our lives. Thus people from different sides of world can watch global fashion trends. As a result, they are always influenced by these.

In my opinion, this is a positive impact for relative businesses, such as online stores, physical stores , transport system etc. Individuals are influenced by these kind of trends thus, they can order from one corner to another in the world. As a result, store's owner and people who work there can financially stable also GDP has improved. For example, if a person buy dresses through online shop or physical store , a country of disadvantaged background will get a chance for standing .As their GDP will be increased.

However, it has a bad impact on social lives too. For maintaining these kinds of fashion they have to work more . As a result, people cannot spend time with their families. Which can be creat a distance with loved ones. Moreover, sometimes when a person can not affort these kinds of fashion , they are more likely to engage with crimes .

To sum up, people's lifestyles are one of the main reasons for influenced by international fashion. From my perspective, this has not only positive impacts but also negative impacts.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You address both parts of the prompt: you suggest that changing lifestyles and technology spread global fashion, and you give a mixed view of its effects, especially on businesses and family life. The position is present, but it is not fully consistent: the introduction calls the economic effect positive and the social effect negative, while the conclusion says only that there are positive and negative impacts. The explanation of technology is relevant but brief, and the claim that people may turn to crime when they cannot afford fashionable clothes needs clearer reasoning or a specific example. Develop each main point with a fuller explanation and make your overall judgement explicit throughout.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The response has a clear overall structure, with an introduction, a paragraph explaining influences, separate discussion of benefits and drawbacks, and a conclusion. Sequencing is generally easy to follow, and signposts such as “Firstly,” “Secondly,” “However,” and “To sum up” help readers identify the stages of the argument. This meets the lower-band expectations securely and shows some stronger control through paragraphing and a logical order. However, connections within paragraphs are sometimes mechanical or unclear: “Thus” and “As a result” recur, and “Which can be creat a distance with loved ones” is left as a fragment rather than being smoothly linked to the preceding idea. Use a wider range of linking methods and make references between sentences more precise.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including “global fashion trends,” “international style,” “online stores,” and “GDP.” However, the range is limited and several noticeable spelling, word-form, and collocation errors make parts of the response less clear or natural. Examples include “obssesed,” “affort,” “creats,” and “social lives”; phrases such as “income more,” “relative businesses,” and “a country of disadvantaged background will get a chance for standing” are difficult to interpret precisely. These issues fit a limited but minimally adequate range: the reader can usually understand your point, but some wording causes difficulty. Build accuracy by learning common collocations and checking spelling and word forms before submitting.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including cause-and-effect clauses such as “As a result, people cannot spend time with their families” and a conditional example beginning “if a person buy dresses.” However, control is uneven, and errors in agreement, verb forms, articles, and sentence boundaries recur. For example, “their lifestyle have changed” needs subject–verb agreement, “a person buy” needs a matching verb form, and “Which can be creat a distance” is an incomplete sentence with an incorrect verb construction. Some sentences also combine ideas without clear grammatical links. Practise checking each sentence for a clear subject and finite verb, and revise complex sentences into accurate clauses before adding more variety.
