Student answer (Band 6.0)
Some argue that global fashion trends influenced significantly to the way of people dressing. It became a strong influence because of the development of the internet. I firmly believe it is negative development.
There are countless fashion trends are in the internet and people tend to follow them without even knowing the suitability and compatibility of than trend to their society. For instance, one of my friends follow a fashion trend on TikTok. It is about wearing clothes inside-out. The original videos was from the United States and to their community it was not a big problem. However, my friend's local community did not welcome the fashion and most of them misunderstood. He did not discourage by the negative comments by the people. He started a business called Inside-out and build a multi branched clothing company. My friend turn a new fashion trend to a business idea. Therefore, I strongly believe that global trends have a significant impact to the society.
Even though there are multiple instances demonstrate that global trends are positive developments, There are downsides of this advancement as well. Affordability is at the top of the list. A fashion trend is cheaper before it become a world sensation. After being famous, the price of a fashion style sharply increasing. For example, BTS music group produced clothes with their logo on them. However, they were significantly cheaper before they became world famous music band. At present, a single item with their logo on cost around couple thousand dollars. A fan could not afford to buy a merch even they wanted because of the price. Because of this development, I thing it is a negative development.
In conclusion, fashion trends are strongly affect people life in varies ways. But, I believe majority of influences are negative rather than positive.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address both parts of the question: the internet is identified as a reason global fashion spreads, and you clearly state that you consider this a negative development. The examples about TikTok and BTS make the discussion relevant, and the conclusion restates your view. However, the explanation of how fashion becomes influential is narrower than the question invites: the TikTok story mainly shows one person adopting a trend and turning it into a business, rather than explaining the broader reach of global trends. The affordability point is relevant, but the claim that prices rise after a trend becomes famous would benefit from clearer explanation or evidence. Develop these ideas more evenly and connect each example directly to your overall argument.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a clear overall structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion. The paragraphs each have a central focus, and signposts such as “For instance,” “Even though,” and “In conclusion” help readers follow the discussion. Some connections are less clear or feel mechanical, however. The first body paragraph moves from social disapproval to your friend’s business success, then concludes that global trends affect society, without fully explaining how these points support the negative position. The contrast introduced by “Even though” is also confusing because the paragraph mainly develops a downside rather than a positive example. Use more precise links between claims and examples, and make sure each paragraph advances the argument in a consistent direction.
Lexical Resource: Band 6.0
You use an adequate range of topic vocabulary, including “global fashion trends,” “suitability,” “compatibility,” “world sensation,” and “affordability.” These choices help communicate the main ideas, and the examples are generally understandable. There are some inaccurate or unnatural word choices and collocations, such as “fashion trends are in the internet,” “a fashion style sharply increasing,” and “a merch,” which reduce precision. “Influences are negative” is also less natural than describing the effects or consequences as negative. Aim to learn common word partnerships and check whether a noun or verb fits the intended meaning. More precise vocabulary would make the discussion clearer without requiring more complicated wording.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and complex sentence forms, including clauses beginning “Even though” and “because,” and most of the message remains understandable. Some grammatical errors persist in verb forms, agreement, articles and sentence construction. For example, “Some argue that global fashion trends influenced significantly” needs a suitable tense and structure, while “There are countless fashion trends are in the internet” combines two sentence patterns incorrectly. Other examples include “my friend follow,” “The original videos was,” and “fashion trends are strongly affect.” These errors sometimes make relationships between ideas less clear, although they do not generally prevent understanding. Practise checking subject–verb agreement and verb forms, and revise sentences to ensure each clause has a complete, correctly formed verb.
