Student answer (Band 6.5)

The dressing sense of the general public has changed due to the fluctuation in trajectories worldwide. In my point of view, the global fasion has a powerful impact on the way commonn people dress and for me it is acceptable to some extent but i extremely discourage it. The essay is going to be about the good and bad sides of this fashion trend.

Honestly, it is fabulous if you dress well, it grooms your personality and gives you a stunning apearence. But the way celebrities are ruining your comfort is truly rediculous. People preoritize wearing what their idols wear or advertize about. Which is acceptable, but it gets worse when they start judging others based on their apearence. Self satisfaction is what I admire the most, and this jugdment by others only due to my wearables is so much annoying.

Another downside of this trend is, it is badly affecting the way of living of poor locality by pressurising and forcing them to be like what the elite class is wearing, otherwise they are criticized by the brainwashed public of this modern trajectory. But not always it is bad for some people, who even have resouces and are stable, but still stay like they are in the ages of apes. In places like offices and other formal areas where you have to be properly and formally dressed, then the rules must be followed. You can not be attending an office party wearing shorts or sports cloths. Fashion of specific areas must be followed but in everyday life no one should be faulted for being comfortable

There are positive aspects of the ongoing aesthetics all over the world but in my opinion its taking away our free will.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5

The response addresses both parts of the prompt: how global fashion influences lives and whether this is positive or negative. However, the development of ideas is somewhat superficial. For example, the explanation of why fashion is a 'downside' for the poor is a bit disjointed, and the transition to the 'positive' aspect is abrupt and lacks sufficient supporting evidence. The position is clear, but the arguments could be more thoroughly extended to reach a higher band. The essay structure is present, but the content feels slightly rushed, particularly in the final paragraph.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5

The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the progression of ideas. However, the use of cohesive devices is somewhat mechanical and occasionally inaccurate. For instance, the phrase 'Another downside of this trend is, it is...' is grammatically awkward, and the transition between the discussion of celebrities and the impact on the poor is abrupt. Paragraphing is present, but the internal flow within paragraphs could be improved by using a wider variety of linking words to connect sentences more naturally.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

The vocabulary used is generally adequate for the task, but there are frequent spelling errors (e.g., 'fasion', 'commonn', 'apearence', 'rediculous', 'preoritize', 'jugdment'). While the student attempts to use some topic-specific vocabulary like 'aesthetics' and 'trajectory', the misuse of words like 'trajectory' (which does not fit the context of fashion trends) and 'wearables' limits the precision of the writing. To improve, the student should focus on accurate spelling and using words in their correct collocations.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede the flow. Issues include subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'fashion... have resources'), incorrect preposition usage, and punctuation errors. For example, 'In my point of view' should be 'From my point of view'. While the meaning is generally clear, the frequency of these errors prevents the writing from reaching a higher band. More attention to basic sentence construction and proofreading for small errors would be beneficial.
