Firstly, worldwide fashion is a massive topic with a wide range of variety. Following this, the number of people who dress the same way as the "trend" has been rising dramatically over the past years. There are few main factors behind the success. One that results biggest impact is social media. Users of social media, especially, "influencers" are always busy trying to start a new trend or keep up with the ones that's already is. Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
The essay addresses both parts of the prompt: the influence of global fashion and the evaluation of whether this is positive or negative. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. While you mention social media and celebrities as drivers of influence, the explanation remains superficial. Similarly, the argument regarding the negative impact—specifically the loss of individuality—is a good point but lacks concrete examples or deeper analysis to fully support your position. To reach a higher band, ensure that each main idea is supported by a specific example or a more detailed explanation of the 'why' and 'how'. Your position is clear, but the supporting arguments need more depth.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, and there is a clear progression of ideas from the introduction to the conclusion. You use some cohesive devices, such as 'Firstly', 'Furthermore', and 'In conclusion', to signal transitions. However, some transitions feel mechanical or slightly awkward, such as 'Following this' and 'In result'. Additionally, the referencing is occasionally unclear, which makes some sentences feel disjointed. To improve, focus on using a wider variety of linking words and ensure that the relationship between sentences is more fluid and natural rather than relying on simple transition markers.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.5
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'influencers', 'fashion industry', and 'stereotypes'. However, there are several instances of imprecise word choice and awkward collocations, such as 'achieved to influence' (should be 'managed to influence'), 'causing a quite disturbance' (should be 'causing quite a disturbance'), and 'dressed different' (should be 'dressed differently'). These errors do not impede communication, but they do limit the precision of your writing. To improve, focus on learning common collocations and practicing the correct usage of word forms (adjectives vs. adverbs).
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but the accuracy is inconsistent. There are frequent grammatical errors, such as subject-verb agreement issues ('the influence of celebrity can result a significant change') and missing articles or incorrect verb forms ('the ones that's already is'). Some sentences are fragmented or lack proper grammatical structure, which affects the overall flow. While the meaning is generally clear, the frequency of these errors prevents a higher score. Focus on proofreading for basic subject-verb agreement and ensuring that your complex sentences are constructed with correct relative clauses and prepositions.
