Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response addresses both parts of the prompt, but the development of ideas is limited and often unclear. While you mention positive and negative aspects, the arguments lack depth and logical support. For instance, the explanation of why global fashion is 'important' relies on repetitive phrasing rather than clear reasoning. The discussion regarding cultural or religious perspectives is introduced but not fully explored or linked effectively to the global fashion trend. To improve, ensure each paragraph has a clear topic sentence and provides specific, well-explained examples that directly answer the 'how' and 'why' of the prompt.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organized into paragraphs, but the progression of ideas is often disjointed. The use of cohesive devices is mechanical and sometimes inaccurate, such as the repetitive use of 'therefore' and 'there fore' to link unrelated clauses. Referencing is frequently unclear, making it difficult for the reader to follow your argument. For example, the transition between the positive and negative aspects lacks a smooth logical flow. To improve, focus on using a wider variety of linking words (e.g., 'furthermore', 'consequently', 'on the other hand') and ensure that each sentence logically follows the previous one.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary is quite limited and repetitive, which restricts your ability to express complex ideas. You frequently use basic terms like 'good', 'important', and 'clothes'. There are also issues with word choice and collocation, such as 'if we not ware' and 'simple city' (likely intended as 'simplicity'). The spelling errors, such as 'iltalian', 'infliuence', and 'relegion', are frequent and occasionally impede the reader's understanding. To reach a higher band, you should focus on learning topic-specific vocabulary related to fashion and society and pay closer attention to spelling and word forms.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The essay relies heavily on simple sentence structures, and there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text. Issues include incorrect verb forms ('if we not ware'), missing articles, and faulty sentence construction ('when human body ware to america clothes to feel is very good'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, with missing spaces after commas and periods. While the meaning is generally discernible, the high frequency of errors makes the text difficult to read. To improve, practice using a mix of complex sentence structures and focus on basic subject-verb agreement and correct tense usage.
